2023 M4 Comp Xdrive Dragy results

All stock except drop-in air filters and charcoal filters removed. Unprepped street.
Little bit of spin on the launch but otherwise solid run.

Very good numbers and inline with the expectations. QQ, do you think there is a difference between launching the car in the 4WD mode and the 4WD Sport? Or does the launch control override those settings anyways with its own configuration?

Great question, I'm not sure if it was 4WD or 4WD Sport.

I seem to remember reading, here that people were getting better 0-60 and 60 foot times with 4WD sport, even though it allows for more rear bias. I would think that 4WD would be better to launch with, because you would get that max front wheel grip.

My M2 button is setup for 1 touch (plus the confirmation acknowledgement) launch control, and its programmed for 4WD Sport.

There might be something to it. When I've launched mine the past couple times in the default 4wd mode, i did notice a surprising amount of front wheel spin. And yes the road was perfectly dry and the tires were warmed up. However, I don't recall detecting any slip from the rear wheels. All the drama was happening up front. So I am thinking maybe transferring more tq to the rear would yield a better result. The rear tires are wider afterall and during the launch, the weight transfer from front to back could also be a contributing factor.

Next time I'll try launching in 4wd sport to test if it makes any difference.
