Damn, this guy.
Stop doing false advertising, lol.
I do McDonald, not Taco Bell,

But, yea, I did free labor because I am using Vic55 car for the data.
Also, he has been a good customer and been helping me a lot.

When I bought my MSS kit I shopped around and other vendors didn't even know about this update coming out from MSS. I asked them if an update does come out will I get it for free and I got no response.

MSS should be providing these kits for free, not the vendors. In the end it has to come out from someone's pocket and MSS doesn't think it should be them. Bad business practice is all I can say. They will end up losing more money because of angry customers. This will be the last MSS product I will buy.

To be fair, I can't discuss that.
All I can say, I am end user first, business owner second.

This is why customer service gets you more money in the long run due to retaining customers and getting in more due to putting customers first. MSS should learn from RG and X-PH, I am not gonna blast Evolve and let them speak on this.

Coming out of someone's pocket, shipping isn't free either. I'm sure Imran is not in the business of losing money. He's most likely being charged and he's passing that on to the customers. It's up to him how he wants to handle the situation, take a hit or not.

Regardless, vendors shouldn't be liable they didn't make the product and make false claims. MSS should step up and make this right.

I'm actually currently assessing lowering options for my G82 and have contacted KW, R44, Evolve and a few other companies about my options (eg fixed vs HAS vs KW vs MSS etc).

I'm sold on the MSS product but this customer service issue is really putting me off, so I'm not sure I'll go with them! If their after-sales service is this poor I'd rather not get involved with them or their products!

In fairness, I've also been trying to get assurance from KW (UK) that their HAS set is approved for xDrive cars and they've been anything but committed in their reply!! (ie I need to compare the factory axle weighting stated on my VIN plate to the max. approved weight of the KW HAS springs!!)

WTF!!! just tell me if it's designed and/or approved for the G82 xDrive or not?!?

Imagine putting in a warranty request with MSS. If they cant own up to their false claims, what makes anyone think they will honor any warranty requests? I did they will try to put all blame on the consumer.

True but Evolve is involved in the R&D of all the MSS kits. They also have a US website to take US orders. I assume that we would get the same level of customer service and warranty as the other US dealers. I agree that MSS should offer the kit for free. Lesson learned

This is where the reseller role comes into play.

Some are just sell, collect profit, and leave you dry when issue occurs.
Some are will go above and beyond, and fight in your behalf.

After some discussions between myself and Ken from MSS over the last week or so the following is an official statement from MSS.

Any questions please let me know but basically anyone wanting an upgrade to the new kit can have it for free. Just contact your retailer and they can arrange with their distributor.

I hope that this resolution is satisfactory.

"Convert Your MSS G80 System to the Ultra-Low FOR FREE

MSS held a two-day dealer interactive showcasing the latest MSS G80 product. Feedback from the U.S network encouraged MSS to release a new Extra Low G80 kit in 2022. Our R&D team led by the Founder William Blankson, worked hard and fast to deliver the new product in February of this year.

Recently, as interest in this new product launch has intensified, some confusion has arisen in the marketplace; Specifically, this is not an amendment to an existing product but an addition to the MSS product portfolio with the creation of a separate SKU.

While retaining the MSS core values of performance and comfort this system goes lower than factory shock recommendations and as a result, the new Extra Low Kit comes with a one-year warranty as opposed to our standard lifetime warranty.

Excitement for the new kit and some misleading forum chatter has MSS handling questions from the distributor network regarding a free upgrade and questioning whether specific deals are being made on an individual basis. MSS wants to ensure our dealer network that this is not the case. We do want to support all our partners and customers, MSS in clear recognition of the overwhelming demand for this new product and a passion for customer service has made the decision in this specific instance to provide a pathway for any distributor or partner, who has purchased a G80 kit pre the new SKU being launched (02/10/22) with a free conversion to the 'Extra Lowering’ Kit if desired.

We ask that you, our distributors, speak with your partner community to assess who and how many upgrades are required by the end of March and we will ship conversion kits to our distribution network in April of this year. We will require the end customer’s names and proof of purchase as the warranty will have to change from that of a lifetime to the one-year warranty connected with this new system.

At MSS we strive to provide the very best customer experience possible, a system with optimal control and ride, quality parts with an amazing fit, finish, warranty, and unparalleled customer service. Thank you for your partnership."
