Trolley Jack Sizing

Its time for a new trolley as the car arrives soon. Could someone confirm the height between the ground and ide sills for jack clearance. (M3Comp.)

I'm looking to get a unit that has the lowest acceptable drop with the highest lift, as I need to lift a Jag F pace (Wifes)

Any recommendations welcome.

This is what I'm using (link below), it's extra low and has a very long reach. I have lowered my car on MSS springs and still have ample clearance to insert the jack. It was recommended by Kiesmotorsports too.

What he said, the Daytonas are the shit...especially the low pro ones.

FACT* Snap-On sells their jack for roughly $600-700..... it's a re-badged Daytona from harbor freight.

That would be ok for garage but I am looking to replace my Craftsman aluminum jack that I bought to take to the track 15 years ago.

Oh yeah... this is not advisable for that. I had the craftsman aluminum jack as well, I'd buy another if they still made them? It was a super lightweight quality jack.

Jack pads & jack stands should be an investment as well.

Doesn't seem like they make the craftsman aluminum jacks anymore. The Arcan seems like a good alternative:

I got this one. It works well and matches the theme of the car. High lift, low profile, extended reach.

They certainly look the same, that's why Snap-on sued them. Do you know if they are made by the same company to the same spec? I would be very discouraged if that is the case!

Wow!! I had no idea.

We own both, they feel the same in use. The Snap-on one cost almost 3x more than the Daytona jack.

I never know when someone online actually knows the truth, so many true industry experts are on forums trying to help, so I try not to discount people's statements! I hope (if only for the money I have spent over the years on Snap-On products!!!) that they are not the same. But, I am old enough to roll my eyes at what has happened to Craftsman... To think I thought they "sold out" when they made a true forged handle bottle opener that matched their ratchets.

Either way, I am looking for a new floor jack and the Daytona is still compelling.

Cheers!

We have 3-4 jacks in our shop, get the Daytona if weight isn't a major issue. I miss the old aluminum craftsman race jack from the early-mid 2000s...didn't realize they quit making them..figures.
