Ugh I'm still at 150 and haven't moved to assembly begins. Last time I talked to the genius he said I should be completely built by the 11th. I'm hoping the system is just behind and not that I got bumped a week or two.

No worries. I was originally week 40 and then was bumped to week 44 (which is this week). On Monday, I was at 150 (since 10/13) and then moved all the way to Quality Check by yesterday. The system updated every day starting on Tuesday. I went through 3 steps yesterday alone! If it shows 11/11 right now, I guarantee you'll be at Quality Check on that day next week.

It's been a frustrating process so far. I'm not sure how they choose which vehicles are next, but several vehicles that have been ordered after mine with similar options have been built over the last 6 weeks.

My SA doesn't keep me up to date. Just tells me the next communication I get from him will be that I have a vin. We are in the market for an X5/X7 (maybe a Q7 or another XC90) before we leave Germany, but we will not be going back to the same place. This whole buying experience has sucked, not just the delays.

Since I was told my car would be complete on 11/12, I'm really hoping to wake up tomorrow morning and see "Exterior body assembly begins". That would be a nice start to the day.

I thought I was. I hit paint booth on Thursday and haven’t moved since. I was told by genius I was now week 45. I expect some movement this week, hopefully. Seems we are in same week whatever it is.

Any updates this morning?

I called the Genius and was told that it was still scheduled to be completed on 11/11, but it wasn't showing anything else. I guess I'll have to keep an eye on the tracker this week and hope that I see some movement.

M4cx on order. Woke up today to see car has not only entered the Assembly Line but also currently in Progress of Assembly. Hoping I don't get hit with a stop sale or any other issue. Expecting to get the car the 1st week of December.

Edit: Status moved up to Quality Check.

In quality check now. I would think it will be done soon if there are no delays.

Not to pop your bubble, but I think that's unrealistic. I'm a week 39 on the US east coast and still haven't received my car yet. I spent 3 days in QC (a bit longer than usual it seems), it took my car 3 days to get to the port after dispatched, sat at port for a week, then took just shy of 3 weeks to get to the US port. She now sits awaiting stop-sale resolution (unknown resolution time).

I think for east-coast deliveries I would expect 5 weeks from "dispatched from factory" IF you have no stop-sale or delays in shipping. Hopefully that helps give you an idea of timelines.

I don't think it's that unrealistic, a little hopeful maybe. But from my understanding, the cars that are getting completed at the factory are having whatever stop sale issues resolved already. The genius said that mine is does it have any stops on it right now.

Another member posted his timeline and his car went from dispatched from factory to in the port in Baltimore in 14 days. He probably got lucky with the timelines of when the train and ship was ready but sometimes things line up well. If any of us that finish this week have a good sync with the ships etc then our cars could be in Baltimore before Thanksgiving. Then figure 1-2 weeks to the dealerships and that puts you in the first week or 2 of Dec.

I'm not very lucky and doubt mine will go that smooth but I'm hopeful that it could.

I hope they get you stop sale fix and you get you car soon. These waits are so painful. I placed my order in June!

Thanks! That they are. But they’ll be worth it. Everything is a mess right now.

Greetings from the F90 forum. Since we don’t have separate threads for build weeks, I have a question for the week 45ers. Do your builds appear to be progressing in My BMW Garage? Mine appears to be stuck on Production Begins for about 2 weeks now.

It doesn’t really matter either way, I was just curious. My CA reported that he expected my assembly to be complete by 11/11 but I’m not holding my breath given the current state of things. It appears from some posts here that builds are being updated. Good luck! May we all receive our cars soon.

I posted earlier today pretty much what you're experiencing.. BMW Genius told me that despite no progress on the tracker, my car is expected to be complete on 11/11.

Same thing for me. Genius and Dealer both say completion on the 11th but my garage still says 150 and no movement since 28 Oct.

From what I've seen, it's normal to stay in Production Begins status for about two weeks. Once it hits the line, it gets built pretty fast. (around 3 days)

But as a general rule, don't trust in any date you're given, since everything is so messed up right now, nothing is set in stone.

Thanks, folks. Like I said, it’s not a huge deal I was just looking forward to watching my car as it progressed through the steps. These days, I’ll just be happy that assembly gets completed!

I'm still at 150 status the Genius I spoke with today told me barring any problems my car is supposed to be complete by 11/12 so we'll see what happens next.

My M3C still in paint booth since last week, likely waiting to enter the production line. Production is scheduled for 11/10 so based on timelines from other forum members it looks like it takes a day in assembly and maybe another day in QC.

With that said most members went from paint to assembly within a day or two depending on their production schedule.

Is anyone slated for week 45 not in 150 or 151 status yet?

I was told I am week 45 by Genius, and I’m in Quality check since yesterday. Not sure If I should be considered 44 or 45, not that it matters
