I also know that when (if?) this car finally gets shipped, it will get stopped, again, at the VDC for RAM (radio module) and Amplifier, which could be another lengthy delay.

I know that chip shortages are what is causing the delays, but I know that other, more recent cars, are being produced with no issues. I also know that I am not alone, there could be dozens of people with the same story, and that they are as frustrated as I am.

As a long time BMW customer, this car (if I ever get it) would be my 10th BMW since 2004, and my 5th M since 2013, I feel that this is pushing me away from the brand. I have been told by people at BMW USA Customer Relations that I am important to BMW, but I do not currently feel that that is the case.

I sent it, so we'll see what happens next. I did use social media over the last week, FaceBook and Twitter, and I got a response from my tweets, but it was basically.. we don't know, contact your dealer.

Visited a Lexus dealership to look at the IS500 they had in the showroom. Almost tempted but I guess I'll still hold on and wait for my M3... Electric cars will take over the market by the time this Build Week gets all of theirs.

I don’t do FB or Twitter but have been starting to post on every BMWM Instagram post warning ppl about delays and lack of communication from BMW. Who knows if anyone reads that stuff, but its cathartic.

It's useless, I've tried everywhere. I got some response, but the response was.. we don't know, call your dealer. BMW NA is a joke. I feel like by the time I get this car (if it ever shows) it'll have been 6+ months from the time it initially went into production.

It's the same tune in Canada. Contact centre says call your dealer, dealership says they can't control anything so call corporate office.
My latest call was having a Manager from the contact centre call my dealership this week so they can argue about accountability.
To some, we sound like pretentious, spoiled Karen-brats who are suffering through first world luxury problems. But for me it's a matter of principle. Seeing countless deliveries of G8X cars ordered, produced and delivered well after ours is infuriating. I've screen capped a couple of recent ones on a Facebook page I'm following.
