This should put an end to all the speculation
I don't care who you are Mr P., I'm still in love with BMW; and now even more, because I want a wild horse, not a ballerina

Obv saw that verdict coming, both amazing rides wouldn't mind having either one.
I think the rareness of the CSL though makes it pretty cool in my book. Congrats to those of you out there who were able to pick one up. I hope you drive it like you stole it and not just sit on it!

The M4 CSL is a superlative car…but, we know it is outshined by the 911 GT3.
Nevertheless, the CSL is an outstanding piece of machinery from BMW. I wouldn't mind owning one…😁 Still love my BMWs! 🙌🏻

No matter your thoughts on the CSL, it's still nice that these types of traditional ICE comparisons are happening in 2022... meaning, soon enough the comparisons will be between hybrids or full EV offerings from each brand.... hoping I'm wrong.

Gotta give M props for this car, especially considering the standard M4 is now so heavy. The 8ZF is a great transmission for a DD, but I think this car deserves a DCT. Either way, I dig it.

I know it’s not very important for internet forums where everyone has endlessly deep pockets but in real life the GT3 Touring will cost you almost twice as much as the CSL.

Love the csl, wouldn't take it over a gt3 but would love to have one when they start getting into the 110-120 range.
I think the M3cs is going to be the real winner though. |

For funzies I looked at used GT3 listings last week. They were like $270-300k. Its still complete madness out there.

At what point do you say enough. Don't get ne wrong, it's a nice car just like a Rolex is nice to own but nothing is worth paying ADM.

The GT3 will always be king to compare any new sporty car to. M4 CSL is a special car indeed.

Obvious point is obvious, but the GT3 starts $30k more dear than the CSL, and that's before current ADMs, which are insane on P-cars. So, even before the competition begins, these are apples-to-oranges.
I see the CSL as more of a halo, collectible trinket with which BMW can demonstrate how far it can stretch the 3/4 series platform, and in that context it's impressive. But it's never going to be as purposeful around a track as a GT car.

I thought a stronger dollar makes foreign goods cheaper? (And the weaker Pound should do the opposite for their imported goods?)

Right, I was talking in terms of dollars. Meaning, if you had a house in the UK, you'd rather have your GT3 there than here! In fact, I just saw CNBC did a piece on Americans buying property in London/UK countryside at huge discounts as I was typing this.

I love me a GT3 but that M4 CSL is definitely a worthy competitor.
I wish Porsche and BMW made these more readily available. I'm tired of collectors sitting on these cars. |

Anytime any day I would take a GT3. The experience of NA and the magic that GT3 has is not about speed , it's an experience. Saying that I personally will not pay $20K over MSRP for GT3. Hence, I am taking M3CS first and then in order waitlist with a Porsche dealer for GT3( #12). When I get there for GT3 will trade in M3CS.
