Retrofitting the receiver audio module is what is currently missing.

On my tracking, it shows that it's at the port and open on the issue.

I just spoke to my sales rep and after apologizing he said that our regional rep said that all stop sales will be complete before end of year. As of now my RAM is still open. If true then likely we will have a xmas gift soon.

I am the eternal optimist and I truly hope that our cars get their stop sales resolved quickly. But I'd be super skeptical about anything that the regional reps tells the sales staff. The sales staff is relying on reporting cars as sold for their end of year numbers and bonuses. Dealerships rely on annual sales numbers for their profit and future allocations. So I definitely believe that everyone wants this to clear up before 12/31. However, the GenX skeptic in me says that this may just be the regional guy telling the dealer staff what they want to hear to avoid mass hysteria from their own folks.

Ya I do not disagree. Hopefully the regional rep was being honest. My dealer has at least 5 cars (including mine) waiting for RAM. I trust my sales rep as I've purchased from him before (wife's car) but that's about it. At this point I'm just hoping for before Xmas.

I am so with you. I really do hope we see that movement soon. My dealer has hundreds of cars waiting, including those that are sold and those that are for dealer stock. All of their cars come through Baltimore. Right now, they have three new cars on site. They have had to put used cars in the showroom just to keep it looking full.

OK someone translate this for me...I just got off the phone with the genius about my M3 which is at the VPC in Baltimore with the RAM stop sale. Here is what he told me...

-My car still has the RAM stop sale indicated.
-There is currently no remedy for this stop sale (AKA the parts are not available)
-A work order has been opened for my car.
-The parts are on backorder with no ETA.

Ok....go!

Have your dealers told you if BMW had the part (RAM module) for your car? Perhaps the discrepancy in wait times at the VPC are due to some cars having a part available to them vs others that do not. Then that begs the questions of how that is determined.

yea, i'm sure....

i dont care what he says, not a single person has credibility to say something like that. There isn't any magic happening with all of this stuff. It happens as it happens, it's all fluid....

This is concerning to say the least. I wonder why Baltimore is lower priority for parts - it seems like other VPCs have been closing out RAM recently.

There is suspicion that RAM is the same as the Amplifier stop sale - if this is the case - I dont see this clearing up by year-end…

correct, it seems as if Baltimore is the worst offender when it comes to clearing their stop sales. My GM at dealership I bought car has reached out to their rep and to no avail.

If I lived closer I would take a drive over there and scope things out

I'm close to the same schedule as yours and my stop sale was opened on the 26th also. My car must be buried in the back somewhere at the Baltimore port. Hopefully this week it will clear.... awesome build by the way.

M440 Xdrive GC

This is affecting other models as my M440 GC(Build week 39) arrived to the Baltimore VPC on 10/25. Work order for Receiver Audio Module(RAM) was opened on 10/26 and still waiting to be fixed. I'm just frustrated with the lack of communication from BMW and the VPC, also what methodology are they using at the port to fix the vehicles in chronological order? Don't seem to have one.
