I am assuming you will have to do a new build as the packages aren't the same. I would review and send a update/confirmation to your CA.

I've been running without a front plate on my Macan for almost 2 years now (knock on wood). The only time I've needed it is when I go for our yearly inspection sticker, so on inspection day I attach the front plate using a tow hook mount, then take everything back off when done. I do though keep my front plate under one of the rear passenger mats just in case.

And I'll be doing the same hopefully when I take delivery of my M3....

I will do the same. Law is bullshit anyway.

Once you get that allocation, then you get to do the configuration / sales dance. IF its an M4 they might just match for match as the 22/23 are identical sans the striping kit option. M3 will take some interaction from the customer I would think.

Timeline in the above post starts after you get an allocation. People are waiting for weeks or months just to get one as all dealers dont get one every month. Also july build allocations were released last week. If you are still in status 47, your dealer most likely didnt get one.

Yes, actual countdown starts after you receive your production number.

Had an early Mar 22 allocation for a '22 M3C. Was assigned build wk 19 for a May production start and July delivery. Lost it and moved back to order received status due to whatever shortages and then lost the '22 allocation due to '23 model start in July. Asked SA to assign me a '23 allocation and was told I would be next in line. That was 2 wks ago and today I have a VIN number! Shortages no more? Have CF everywhere on this car and carbon buckets so appears that is no longer a problem if it ever was. Delivery expect end of Aug/early Sept. Hang in guys...orders might be returning to some type of normal.

They are apparently the reason for my build being pushed from week 27>28>29>31 so I could see them putting a hold on ordering them. I was also told it could be the CCB’s so who really knows.?.?

The cancelled order that lands next week that got offered to me doesn’t have extended leather… I’ve always gotten extended leather since I feel the dash looks cheap without it.. is that sensatec stuff diff than previous materials? If so anyone recommend it or see it as a decent option

SensaTec is better than nothing, that's for sure....even has nice stitching running across the dash as well on the 2023 M3.

I've been going through my build spec for my G80 Competition xDrive and noticed a few weird anomalies. The following items are missing but are listed as standard features in the Australian spec, so was expecting them to be listed on the build sheet.

Not sure if it matters but I have a production number / build allocation for week 6 2023, status is 111.

Have any others had the same features on their July 2022 build onwards cars but not listed on the build sheet? Or are they all listed and missing on mine for some strange reason?

• 3DK BMW Digital Key

  BMW website says this is required in order for the iPhone digital key to work in conjunction with 322 (which I do have). Do others have the iPhone digital key but not this code?

• 465 Through-loading system

  I expected this to be included in the build like it is on my G20 build sheet

• 4UR Ambient light

  I expected this to be included in the build like it is on my G20 build sheet

• 610 BMW Head-Up Display

  I believe this one is now part of the Live Cockpit Pro with iDrive 8 and not a separate code, is that right?

• 4M5 BMW Individual instrument panel finished in leather

  If you have a full merino interior, do you still get or is it not called out separately?

• 5AV Active Guard

  My 2020 G20 M340i had 5AQ Active Guard Plus. Not sure of the difference?

• 6NX Wireless Charging

  I've seen other builds either specced with 6NV or 6NS for Wireless Charging. Not sure what the differences are?

• 754 M Rear Spoiler

  Is there meant to be a code listed for the G80 for this like the M340i?

Hoping to get my dealer to fix if there's an issue with the above/
