If you don't use cruise control then it's probably not worth it. I'm not getting it on my g80... but I'm definitely getting it on my g07 since it'll be used for longer trips. For those the package is incredible.

I didnt get it and have zero regrets. My family hauler has adaptive cruise control and i would never use it on my G80.

What comes with the package doesn't matter. Whether ACC is worth it doesn't matter as well. The only thing matters is that you will have an extra big black block on your grilles for the sensors. That's the deal breaker, at least for me.

Post Adding Driving Assistant Professional to my new 2023 X7 40i

Recently purchased a 2023 X7 40i with executive package and pretty much all options off the lot with the exception it did not have the ZDY option “Driving Assistance Professional”. I was told due to chip shortages the build time is 10-12 weeks. Subsequently I was told that the option can be added but at a higher cost than the $1,700 cost.

I love the vehicle and technology, 360 camera etc.

However, I cannot find any information on how to add this feature at the dealer and what the cost would be to add. Any help or direction would be greatly appreciated. Bottom-line I love the vehicle but do drive a lot in traffic and I see some reviews say it’s a must have option, as well other posts say it’s something they would never use it…I will look forward to any guidance or links with your responses. Thank y’all

It really depends on how you drive/use your car. I have it and use it, my G83 is my daily and I drive 90 miles to work everyday, mostly highway. The adaptive cruise control is extremely helpful when I’m forced to eat my Mickey D’s on my way to work.

On an X7 I would absolutely add it. I just picked up my '23 X7 a couple weeks ago which I ordered and made sure I optioned it.

I haven't heard of the ability to retroactively add it on. Who told you that? If it was the dealer then I would just ask the dealer. It uses a complex system of sensors/cameras so I'm not sure how complicated/costly retrofitting your car with it would be, or if it's even possible.
