I wish the Fiona Red Full Leather option had a black leather dash like the extended option. I'm not a huge fan of the red leather continuing on the dash -- just a personal preference.

I actually think it's a tasteful mix, and flows more once you see the entire car (since the back area is red too). Would be a change from coming from an all black interior though.

FWIW, Porsche gives you option of some red or ALL OF THE RED.

I agree with this. I looked at a lot of pics and although the black dash looks good, to me it sort of made the black dash somewhat seem out of place.

I then struggled with maybe the full leather is too much red but I concluded that it just felt more special.

Maybe after 1.5 - 3 months once production is complete.

7/29 - deposit and order placed

Was told the GM was able to revise an allocation ready for production with my build.

8/8 - Production begins

Called BMW genius and was told build should be completed by 9/8 as long as no delays etc.

Posted exactly 3 months ago, and I was 51st in line, at that time in July.
Not expecting to have the car until Aug/Sept '23.

Called for an update and was told that I am now 9th in line.
Expecting to have the car Jan/March '23.

The only annoying part are the mandatory dealer add-ons. Which he claimed they come on all new cars at this dealership.
Its $1,200 worth of items:
Tint $700
Nitrogen $200
Door Edge Guards $300

Any way to get this removed, I already asked nicely and they said they "can't". Was curious on how cheap the tint was, as I would want Lumar or some ceramic kind and he said it was.. thoughts?

Some dealers have those add on requirements but my $.02 they're not worth it especially the nitrogen filled tires . I picked mine up with 0 dealer add ons but I also knew some higher ups so worked through them. I know as a dealership they need to make money so agreed to do maintenance and warranty to make up for any dealer add on losses etc. to me its a win win for both. I'm doing my ppf, tint and ceramic at a friends shop so I'd rather support him instead.

That's a good idea, maybe I can try again with swapping that for an extended warranty or something. I wasn't sure how "mandatory" these are and if there was any way to go about getting them removed.

Looks like your close to the performance center. Why not do PCD and then how are they going to charge you for the extras if they’re not going to be installed?

That part I'm not sure, I am doing PCD, but wondering if they would do those at the dealer then ship to SC? Not sure the logistics...

If your doing PCD then car gets delivered straight to the performance center. You still have to do your paperwork at the dealer before picking the car up at the performance center.

It going to make it very hard for the dealer to argue for those add ones if they’re not even going to be put on the car.

I'm outside of Charlotte. Just do PCD. They can't add that stuff and it's only 2 hours away. Plus the whole PCD experience is incredible!

So this was the printout from the dealer, I did tell him about PCD and he said we'd figure that out once I'm in for paperwork.

I'm not sure if it's as easy as me saying I don't want it vs. being charged for it, and not going back to get the services fulfilled, it'd be my loss at that point. I'm just wondering how to go about it, and who to talk to for this if its beyond the SA's power. I was told it was mandatory but wondering if anyone has actually pushed to get these items removed if in the same boat?
