Show us your tints! G82 edition

Does anyone have photos of a good G22/G82 tint job? I’ve seen a few people claim that the dot matrix pattern isn’t an issue, only to post photos where its affect on the film is clearly visible.

I’m planning to get 35% tomorrow, but won’t be happy with any amount of lift.

I am not sure what you are expecting, dot matrix is on the glass, meaning you will see lift and imperfections no matter what. If it bothers you that much, don't tint it.

They can either cut before the dot matrix, or they can overlap it using tint or vinyl. You will see silvering with the overlap or cutting before the matrix.

Best bet is to go to a highly rated tinter that is most likely booked out for a long time.

i think OP is expecting pictures of g82s with tint to see if he is acceptable with the level of imperfection he is hearing with applying tint over dot matrix??.. as stated in the post?

My tint experience has been horrible. Specially when the tint was done at the dealership by someone they recommended.

- Blatant imperfections at delivery (bubbles, wrinkles, dirty smudges, etc.)
- Some of these were massaged to make them go away or look less obvious

Other cars that I've had, I've taken to the local Hispanic tint guy with excellent results; almost flawless tint job for much less $$$.

I didn't get the brow, so I don't know how bad they would have done that section :/

I know it has nothing to do with OP, and not going into detail, but this BMW purchase experience did not meet expectations.

This tint ought to protect the driver from solar flares very well.

The wheels are awesome, by the way.

ROFL

You're the second person to call that out. The pic was also in a different thread.

The worst part... I was so excited to get my car back from the PPF installer that I didn't even notice the Chiron until it was pointed out in the other thread.
