Hello I live in Virginia Beach. My allocation for my G80 CS XD was sent late Dec 2021. Today BMW Garage indicated that she was Dispatched from Factory. I can't wait to get her on a Suffolk back road!

And I'm assuming you mean Competition, not CS? Looks like the CS is still a few months out from release?

My G80 Comp is Frozen White with 963M wheels and M Perf exhaust. I frequent VB quite a bit as I work at little creek. See ya around!

I believe I saw you turning on Indian River May 30th around 5:00. I remember because I just left an important meeting. My G80 is at the port. Been there since 06/08.

I do have one question. What are you guys in VA doing with regards to the front license plate? I was in PA and now in WV and never had to apply the front plate.

Very cool, I'm in Hickory Chesapeake, so I spend most of my time down south (some really great driving roads too).

You "could" get away with no plate. But I was tired of worrying about it, and getting the occasional gate guard (I'm Navy) that would like to call me out... I went with the Rho plate mount. They are out of Canada. Very good quality and the plate is rock solid. If you go into my "garage" on this site, I have pictures of it on my G80.

I intend on telling my dealer not to place the front plate mount on my car. If I get pulled over too much I'll place it somewhere. Maybe on the corner front on tow hook

Out of curiosity, how do you guys enjoy driving G8x in VA with strict traffic laws. I know it's illegal in VA, but do you guys use radar detectors?

It's finally here. I just picked it up Saturday. I had to drive it from a dealership in NJ to Virginia Beach.
I hope my detailer is kind to me when he prices my paint correction. Lol

Well, I live out in the country in Chesapeake, so it's well out of the congested parts. Really good roads out this way.

I am still in my break in period but I will tell you that even at lower speeds and RPMs this car is awesome to drive. No radar detector however the Waze app helps with cop warnings

I live in Glen Allen VA and no plate. So far so good and no issues. I've been pass a few troopers and they didn't blink.

I'm in Richmond also and yet to see ap G80 around. I know they are here but the only one is a0 person with a G82 and I got to ride in because it was a xdrive.

I know I got the the first allocation for G83 from Richmond BMW and I took delivery 7/14. I also know they had a really long list to get g80s

I ordered my G80 in June and after getting jerked around, I went to to Southside store and got a allocation immediately and car was delivered in December.

That is interesting. I had a guy named Steve he was great. But if I remember correctly I though they shared an allocation pool. They managed by 2 different GM they are owned by the same people.

Steve has been there for a while and I've bought multiple cars from them. The GM and sale rep took our friendship and the money I spent there for granted so I took my business across the river with my deposit. They wouldn't return my calls and give me a production number. Southside gave me one and followed up with me during the process.
