G80 Grill PPF

I inquired at a detailing shop that did PPF and was told that they did not PPF the front grill. Has anyone gotten PPF on the grill of a G80?

All of the shops I've asked they also said that they could not do it.

Yeah no one does the grill AFAIK. It's also a cheap piece of plastic and is not hard to replace if it does get damaged.

My ppf shop put ppf pieces on the horizontal parts of the grill. I wasn’t expecting so was pleasantly surprised. Sounded like it came as part of the xpel package they printed out

If you don't mind me asking, which shop did you go to?

Nice...sadly they're a hell of drive for me. If I do find myself down in that area, probably will stop by and ask them to do my grill.

Speed & Tech Motoring PPF'd my front grill. While custom cutting, they did it. I have AUTOTECKNIC DRY CARBON PODIUM V1 FRONT GRILLE. (sorry for the caps, copy and paste)

I just offer that you drop it off and give them the time to do it right.

The shops I’ve spoken to said that would be the only piece they would order precut since it’s a complex piece the rest would all be hand cut. And you can find all of the pieces for these cars online precut if you wanted to try to apply it yourself. Front bumper was like $500, same for hood and roof. Rear wuarters were like $750. Side skirts and some other small pieces wet between $1 and $300. Pres cut is way more expiesnive I believe so a decent shop would only need it for that mess of a front bumper and all those small grill
Pieces 😂

My detailer placed ppf on the horizontal slats on top. Hard to even see but saves me from swirls when washing.

Hey there, fellow Richmonder here. I have an M3 sitting at the port in Germany so I'm starting to consider my plans for ceramic/PPF.

Since it's been a while since you posted this reply, I'm curious if you are still happy with the work you got done at this shop and if there are any others in Richmond I should consider.

This was my thinking as well so asked them not to even bother trying. Would likely have cost more to wrap than simply replacing the grill.

Congrats on the new M3! Definitely still recommend capital autobahnd for ppf in Richmond. You can ask them to coordinate for ceramic coating on top of the ppf with Joel from flawless finish who does an awesome job as well

Congrats on getting your car. I used Jose at Safeguard Auto Salon two years ago and he did full front, side skirts and replaced the ppf on the rear quarters to cover more area and extended the ppf on rear wheel arches. Also I would recommend b pillar area to avoid scratches. Very happy with his work and let him know the guy with Dravit Grey m3 sent you. Also he did my tint.

My PPF guy also had the template for the grille slats. I told him not to bother as I didn't care to pay to have him spend his time on all those tiny pieces.

His database is awesome. had templates for like every part, in every configuration including most of the MPerformance parts like side skirts, etc.
