Hey all,
Has anyone tried/succeeded in getting the black plastic portion of the center console/transmission tunnel covered in leather through the Individual program? I see it listed as an orderable option for the G2x series, but has this been done on a G8x?

I feel like it’s the one part of the interior that brings down the luxury feel of the car materially, and would be the easiest (maybe not the most cost-effective) way to spruce it back up to near 5/6er territory.

If you're ok with a neutral color like black, I wonder if this would be easier and cheaper to commission a local leather artisan to just wrap that panel instead.

There is an Individual Manufaktur price list document in this forum with all leather-covered interior parts for the G2x/G8x, including the center console, trim, door panels and more.

Your dealer can add those options to your build with that document.

Yeah, the doc I’ve seen (not sure if it’s the same one you’re referencing) is dated 2019, so I want to confirm the current supply chain issues haven’t eliminated options.

There's a 2021 document as well, and it is still valid. There is no current supply chain issues related to leather.

Show your dealer what you are interested in and they will tell you availability and pricing - you will need a production number for the dealer to process the inquiry.

Has anyone been successful in actually getting these approved? Looks like full on PTS is the same price as the Individual paint.

Also - you would think this is the route to Tartufo carbon buckets.

It does indeed. If I’m reading the updated price list correctly, the price of admission is in the tens of thousands of USD/EUR. If that’s true, I’m out.

I tried with two different dealers/CAs to get a price quote on the leather-covered console elements, but BMW USA responded to neither. First dealer waited for over a month (attributed to German summer holidays .. hmm). Time ran out on second dealer (got allocation, order moved to Status 150).

I don't think I'll have much luck with my dealer as the SA I'm working with had no clue about how to get the individual paint option set up. Same thing I'm looking for - Tartufo console and knee pads. And carbon buckets if that's even possible.
