I'll do a full write up once clear coat and reassembly is complete, but here's a preview for anybody who's interested. G80 M3C, Toronto Red

Next phase of what is now a a perilous journey - apparently the PPG instructions for painting Toronto Red over white primer resulted in a different final color than the one that came from the factory. @IND—Distribution probably knows all about how that can happen! Respraying some test panels over black and a few gray primers now to get an exact match, then back to repainting. Will be back in a week or so with a final result

Thanks for the update man and for blazing a trail here. I can’t say that I would do the same thing but this is looking good.

Very cool! As a fellow Toronto Red owner, I'm very excited to see how this turns out. Super unique idea.

Here's a preview from the painter. I'll take and post better pics tomorrow after I pick it up. I feel like it should have come from the factory painted like this

I'll just be honest here, I don't like it but that doesn't matter. As longest you like it is what counts. Nice concept, giving people more ideas and options.
Perhaps if it was lowered with spacers?

I'll show everyone how it looks lowered and with spacers after this weekend. Paint first, then home to my lift for MSS HAS and spacers. 😉
