G83 6MT xDrive would have been an insta-buy for me, saving me months and months of first wrangling over whether I wanted the clutch or droptop more; and then upon deciding the former, between the moonroof and CF roof.

Never had that issue with my 230i THP (the lightest of the bunch). Hummed right along at 120+ for nearly 100km on Autobahn 3 on way down to Frankfurt from Cologne for ED drop-off. GPS unit registered 157 as the top out. The 228/230 with THP were unsung standouts of the non-M F range.

Who knows, but I have experience on a highway around here where I really was worried and had to slow down, the car was so flighty it felt like a boat at sea. Took forever for the front end to settle over dips in the road @ ~120mph. You could feel the front end slowly coming back down, not cool.

At 90, felt great normal, past 110ish and you started to feel that softness.

There’s just no comparison imo, the m car is planted where the 340i is not. Never did anything to the 340i, completely stock, same with the m3 so far.
