M4 CS ordering
BMW NA just released the ordering for the M4 CS (they're calling it the G82 Special Model for now). Looks like it is 1 per dealer like the M3 CS.
4 colors: Frozen Isle of Man Green Riviera Blue Black Sapphire Brooklyn Grey The first 2 are individual and will command a premium for the paint ($4500). One interior color (merino leather anthracite) Wheel options: Gold/Bronze Black Tires labeled as performance or track and one option for ultra track. I suppose these are Cup 2, PS4S, and Cup 2 R. Cup 2R only for black wheels. Brakes: Red/Gold CCB Red/Black compound brakes No pricing at this time. This car will be unveiled at a track in the US in the very near future.

The 1st two individual colors are interesting, especially Riviera Blue. Brooklyn has been played way too much, as it’s such a common color.
Was only a mater of time before red caliper ceramic brakes were available. Surprised this hasn’t hit front page news yet.

Just got a call from a dealer that they have a special order that they believe is the M4 CS. Black wheels black brakes black exterior. I’m hesitant to take it because they want a $5k non refundable deposit and it won’t have the CCBs.

Well, at least you got a call! How is it too late to modify the brakes or options? They had someone back out?

Sometimes dealers have no idea what they are talking about - it could be that they just placed a special order for a M4CX that they think is a CS order 🤣

There may be a chance in a month or so to modify it as they did with the M3 CS. This isn't a run of the mill ordering process. There's a form the dealer fills out (radio buttons and a drop down) and then submits electronically to BMW NA.

it can, if it's ordered that way. If they've submitted it, it's locked.
They did allow a change for the M3 CS a few weeks after the initial form submission. I suspect that will be the same

It's in the bulletin, once you submit, it's locked

I have a $120k msrp LCI M4 on the way. It’ll be my third G82 in 3 years after also acquiring a 991 GT3 and A91 Supra. I’m not worried about the price. Maybe you should worry less about assuming what others can afford based on the questions they ask 🤣
