The trans recalibration makes a good bit of difference in terms of drivability and overall responsiveness/eagerness to go even with stock ECU tune on the cars. Gets rid of a bit of torque request limits the stock calibration has.

I just had my CS + dazzle tune reset by software update. Driving the car without the tune for a few days made me realize how essential it is, especially the transmission. Bimmer-remote guys were able to get me recoded quickly at a discount of the original fee i paid.

In my view, there's zero downside.

I am considering getting the CS/CSL steering coding.
My G82 6MT is from April 2021 (I-step at shipment S18A-21-3-546). Will it probably need a flash of the EPS ECU prior to coding? Would other ECU's also need flashing? |

AFAIK they don't offer any discounted price for only getting some of the coding. I knew this going in and I got everything except the suspension flash. If you're only doing it for the steering, I don't think the price tag is worth it.

These are probably values corresponding to the car model, instead of the calibration curve itself. But, that's just a guess. My software version is older than the release of the CS/CSL models. So, the question, if the calibration curves for the new models were already available for choosing in the old software. |

But most OTA updates are minor at best and bring no noticeable changes. I waited for the 11.2023.50 then coded and that's where the car will stay.

So I had kubax86 over at Bimmer Remote Coding do the Full CS Flash package on my 2021 G80 M3 Comp RWD last Friday, and had a week worth of city/highway driving to really get a feel for the changes.
Transmission Flash: Shifts much quicker, more raw DSC Flash: Don't have before/after experience to compare Steering Flash: Slightly stiffer, sharper feeling in turns Differential Flash: Don't have before/after experience to compare Suspension Flash: More firm, less rebound bounce over bumps Check out my video to see the process and review!
