Have had a droptop since 2002--gonna be a real change getting a sedan. Really liked the hardtop 'verts, despite the extra weight. May need a convertible for summer in a year or 2; wonder what that will be.

For build week 44 guys, when did you guys get your allocation confirmed? Mine was confirmed on aug 23, ca told me that is for the production beginning on the end of September, my status is still order received. Any insights?

The production weeks essentially follow the calendar, so week 44 is either the second or third week of November. If your car is supposed to be end of September, it’s not week 44. You should call your CA or Genius with your production number and they’ll be able to give you the information.

CA = Client Advisor (BMW-speak for salesperson).
Genius = BMW helpline.

A G80 allocation can be for any model of M3 sedan (same thing as G82 for coupe). Don’t let them tell you otherwise.
