Great idea. If I buy another M3, a mod like this would be mandatory!

Really depends on the cost of a kit and painting said kit. If the cost is too high, might as well buy another car instead.

No if I hated the grille that much I would buy a G87, RS5 or a C63.

Better yet just go Porsche tbh.

In all honesty, I wouldn't risk a warranty over this. While I do feel the grill is terrible and has me looking at other makes, if I got over it enough to buy, I wouldn't spend on a mod like this. The draw of a new M car is a "no compromise" one for me -- it's fast, practical, and under warranty for a no-fuss experience. Some mods fit this, esp. dealer-installed/warrantied items.

You asked for opinions, so there you have it - I wouldn't take a business risk on this.

Definitely a possibility of warrant being voided due to restricting airflow. It doesn’t make sense to me to buy a 80k car and having to change body panels for thousands of dollars. Just sad.

I thought of this as well.
I think as others mentioned, air flow would need to be the same as factory, price would be a major factor, and best would be if you could offer the bumpers pre painted to match the OEM colors.

NO. The overall front end of the car works well with the new grilles, to go in and change an entire portion the design language on something that was conceived as a whole will look like an afterthought.

Exactly his point. Then buy or keep the previous generation. It’s that simple.

something that aligns with headlights on the upper part and removal of lower part would be great imo

I’d consider a street CF take on the M4 GT3 grille inserts.

I'd definitely consider INDs first option at the top if the list. That could work for me.

This option wouldn't be too shabby.
