Thanks to kubax86 (http://bimmer-remote.com), I got the CS package, Amber deletes and the anti dazzle completed today! Extra shout out for the patience with my windows 7 os laptop and my unstable network!!!

Immediately noticed amber markers were gone plus the transmission and steering tune are a huge upgrade! Transmission is snappy and steering is more tight! Just waiting for the chance to drive at night to check out the anti dazzle!

Well, I’ve only driven it a little but I can definitely tell the difference in steering, road feel and feedback. I really missed that in the G80 Comp as I came from an M2CS. Will have more feedback when I’ve spent more time behind the wheel.

Didn’t actually do anything TO the car but FOR the car.

Ordered a MAD axle back.

Scheduled my break in service.

Scheduled a dyno session for the day after my break in service.

Finally got my sensatec knee pads installed. Thanks chris3g, so much better than the plastic!

Also saw KO interior for the first time at Indy with BMW over the last two days. It’s intoxicating and annoying at the same time. Can’t decide if I love it or hate it.

Looks great! How was the install? I have a set of Alcantara knee pads that I need to install along with my M4 Competition center console badge.

Took all of about 5 minutes. Pretty easy. There's a video on getting them out, linked somewhere above. Install is reverse.

Forum member had them. They sell the full leather ones on eBay. Cheapest I saw was $350 obo. You can probably get part numbers from the eBay search. Brand new is probably $400 for the leather. Not sure on sensatec.

Not Today, but over the last three days:
- completed my PPF Install (Stek)
- had break-in service completed
- ordered Intake, OBD Adapter & Gtechniq Ceramic Coating, in prep for Bimmercode & maintenance wash in next 2 weeks.

PPF Took total of 16 hours including Full decon. wash, prep, cutting film, application and post install prep & minor detail.

Would I do it again? 100%
Cost? 35% of getting it done by shop
Results? 85% (Small marks on front bumper (def redoing in next couple of months), minor stretch marks in lower rocker area (don't care as they would've been destroyed with rock chips otherwise and they weren't included in estimated I received from shops).

Only things I would change for next round/reinstall of PPF
- Using a lift/jackstands to make it easier to sit/stand when applying versus laying on floor and having inadequate space
- Proper flooring, & heat insulation: PPF arrived later then expected and have family stuff coming up so had to complete PPF in shorter time frame and not the greatest environment.

Overall I'm ecstatic of the protection, and will be adding the other pieces (Full Doors, rear fenders, Roof & Trunklid) in near future to have the car fully protected. Only section I might hand off to pros is rear bumper..possibly. Depending on my skill level at that time.

Got her out of 6 month storage, with a long list of to do's:

- bath
- new front lip, kept it black
- carbon diffuser
- carbon mirror caps
- replaced center console piece to M4 Competition labeled. Didn't think I cared, but have to say I like it there
- installed SST valve controller, wow that made a diff
- finally found Fire orange touch up paint. Fixed 1 little knick

Friday finally goes in for full PPF, so out of storage and gone for a week again 😞

Was taking care of the last few rattles, so I dropped the plastic kick panel under the dash above the pedals. This was just hanging there loose when I dropped the panel.

Any idea what this could be? Bought the car new and this doesn't look OEM at all.

Dealer install a tracker on the car and not tell you?

Tracker was my first thought. I don't know, it was never mentioned. Why would they assuming that's what it is?

Pull the cover. It should reveal a fuse. Pull it and see what goes dead. Short of tracing the wire, it’ll be hard to tell. Are you sure it was new? Like no miles new or never sold to someone new? Looks like an inline fuse for something.

It is a fuse. Custom ordered from allocation to delivery, 13 miles on the clock when I picked it up. So I'd hope not lol. Going to call the dealership tomorrow morning.

Found some forum threads about PDI forgetting to remove the tracker used by dealers in high crime areas. I got mine in San Francisco, so go figure but it was only there a few days after it made it to the dealership post ship.
