112 Status, same boat expected week 8, pushed from week 6.

Saw your post and checked - I am also back to 111! I don't have time to deal w Genius today, but seems something funny going on.

That is looking at the bright side. Maybe we're only bumped a week and our cars will be much more valuable.

Going to add myself here as well. I was week 7 with status 112 for a while, just got bumped to week 8 and back to status 111. Looks like a lot of people got bumped over the weekend though.

Just got off the phone with the genius line, no information to give he said he can't say officially but more than likely due to parts shortages.

Not sure what the deal is. But there is no consistency with what causing it. But it looks like each week there’s specific parts shortages.

My build is a base M3 BG on Fiona, and no specs except the 826 rims. So it sounds like BMW is running short on something that comes standard.

That's what I'm guessing as well.

Part of me started thinking that they learned from their mistake of pushing "unfinished" cars through the assembly line and have them sit in QC for ages until the parts get there. I thought maybe they're just not building something (within reason) if there are certain parts shortages and instead will build other cars on order they know they could complete. But I feel like that would be a very small percentage so I don't know how beneficial that would be for either BMW or the customer....or logistically how feasible that would be in the first place.

Something standard/basic being out of supply probably makes the most sense though. Just wonder what it could be.

Yea and if it is something standard that they are running short on, why are we the unlucky ones.... I was following the week 7 thread and it looks like some cars with much more options already got VIN# and began production. I guess it just sucks to suck. I'm still happy with week 8 but I won't feel safe until I see "ready for transport" but a vin number would ease my pain a bit

I was reading some of the posts in other threads on here, not sure how accurate or where the information came from but they are saying it's the CID

Was status 112 but have been bumped back to 111.

Waiting to find out what happens genius had no info for me and told me to reach out to my CA which I will do tomorrow.

Genius don’t know much. If you get bumped down to 111/105 wait until you move back up to 112. Genius can provide you new build week, that’s about all they can help with based on my experience

I have a very similar spec. Mine is a manual, no Drivers Asst Package. I also have ventilated seats and shadowline lights, but otherwise identical.

And I assumed I was back to 111 because it says "Order Received". But checking the developer shows I am, like others, actually status 105.

Late March seems basically impossible. April isn't looking too good either. Hope this gets resolved soon!
