I figured I'd kick off build week 27 (week of July 3rd), I believe the first for MY2023.

My allocation was given on June 14th, received a production number right away and I went straight to Status 112, and only found out build week 27 by calling Genius. The agent also told me that I am set for production first week of July. Can't say I trust this 100%, but crossing fingers!

I got my allocation and production number on June 16th. 2 days after you. I set up my garage and added my production number. I also received my 112 status right away. My cousin recently got his X5M delivered. He said he was stuck in 112 for 3 weeks until he saw movement. After you get out of 112, the car gets built pretty quick. Obviously X5M is different to M3/4, especially bc of two different countries. M3/4 gets manufactured in Germany while all X cars are manufactured in the US.
We'll get our car bro. Patience is key.

How do you feel about the price increase?

I expected some increase, but not that big. I would probably feel a little better about it if I definitely preferred iD8.

Given all the posts I’ve read, the next few weeks will be a roller coaster, that’s for sure.

Update: I’m in production and status 150 with a VIN number. Not sure what this means regarding build week. Perhaps pushed up? But then I’m surprised my build is a ‘23.

Hi All,

I just spoke to the BMW Genius and I’m scheduled for the same week! She mentioned production would be complete on July 5th and that the car is ahead of schedule. Not sure what the ahead of schedule part really means but exciting nonetheless!

Means you should enter production within a couple of weeks (max). MY23 production starts in July and this shouldnt be of any surprise.

Yeah, even though 150 is production begins, they are just scheduling everything with a VIN.

Realized late today that Personal eSIM 5G upgrade didn’t make it in the build. Would you know if it can in any way be added now, even though I am at 150 status?

You will not be able to make any changes to the build once your vehicle hits 150.

Hello all!

I received the call letting me know that the dealership had received my allocation on 6/18. They said at that time it had a production date of 7/15 therefore week 28. I called the Genius hotline today and they said I am week 27. I know better than to completely count on this but it currently sounds like it is moving in the right direction.

Also joining the group - Genius and salesperson said BW 27 confirmed. Allocation was issued in mid-March 2022. Went from BW 18 to 26 to none to 27.

After being a Week 15 build, then Week 21, then no build week, and then Week 26 and back to no build week. I was moved to a Week 27 build yesterday and just received VIN today!

“Production begins” and a VIN number today.

My '22 flipped to a '23 a few days ago and then as of this morning I have a VIN and it moved to Production Begins status. I assume that makes me week 27?

Edit:
Genius said it went into Prod on 6/27 and is estimated to be completed 7/6. Originally ordered in Jan and was given prod number for a week 5 build. Then moved to week 16.
