911 is rear engine tho no slip to speak of off the line and 0-60 and 1/4 times are nearly identical in testing between C4S and C2S

Only diff obviously is awd and the 7300 cost for it. Never have traction issues didn't think 7300 worth it between the 2 when only diff is awd. C2S is lighter too

Ah, you noticed the omission. There should be two G83 versions. However, I only see the comp xdrives in actual metal. So it's possible the other version was cut before production. But I just can't prove it yet.

Yes C2S is lighter so faster slightly. 60-130.
My point was a RWD front engine car vs awd has major differences off the line where 911 does not due to engine in rear.

I might have missed this, but will the AWD version debut next month too along with the base and zcp, or will we have to wait closer to SOP in July to get the details, see the stance, etc??

I don't think that's known with 100% certainty, but I would be very surprised if AWD gets anything more than a passing mention as an upcoming feature, if even that. They are going to want to build excitement for what can be ordered and taken home now, not what's coming in the second half of next year.

I doubt there will be any way to tell an xdrive G8x from a RWD G8x. -Stance will be the same (all Gchassis bmws have the same ride height for sport suspensions xdrive/rwd) -I think it's possible they won't badge it xdrive, considering the m5 and m8 are xdrive but do not show xdrive badges. (The only difference here is those cars are xdrive only but I think they will keep the cleaner badging) You can read the info on the Mxdrive from the m5 press releases it's more than likely this will be a copy/paste or small evolution of that system |

The M5cs should give us who wait for more G8X AWD information a better look at what M Xdrive is capable of in a more track focused car. I’m looking forward to see the usual benchmark number aka ring time for that car. The G8X AWD with track package shouldn’t be that far behind on the ring. I suspect that M5cs M Xdrive tuning efforts has gone into the G8X.

Why is M xDrive not available until July 2021? I can't figure it out.
I know there are many purists here, but I bet the take rate for AWD will be double that of RWD, especially since M xDrive has a RWD mode as seen with the M5/M8. I know there will be a 100-150lbs weight penalty, but I’ll still take it. |
