2023 LCI deleted 12V plug in trunk

I am trying find potential methods to power dash cam. I found couple methods, including fuse tap, mirror tap, 12V in the trunk. I like the last option most. However, when I opened my trunk, I found that they deleted the 12V in the trunk?!

Perhaps this goes in the "what did you discover" thread...but TIL that some model years have a 12V in the trunk? I have a 2022...I've never noticed one back there. Doesn't mean it doesn't exist though.

I have one in my '22. It's on the right side just above the cubby.

Check underneath the glove box on the left hand side. BMW has been known to put a 12v outlet.

Unfortunately not on this one due to foot airbags on the passenger side.

Why is the 2023 considered LCI?

I see nothing different.

It's not LCI. I think some people refer to iDrive 8 as LCI

I'm going to look now, but I thought there was a official statement from BMW stating this was a LCI and they were going to extend the production years... I could be wrong tho

UPDATE: The article was about the 3 series, but talks about the M3 getting the iDrive 8 also which makes it slightly confusing.
