So anybody have the instructions for coding a new key my second key was lost and the dealer got me a new one and mailed it to me, but I don’t know how to get it working and they are two hours away.

Thanks for the tip though

Yeah, I tried that one and if you read it states put the key in the ignition. I don’t have an ignition it’s push to start. I tried the other way we’re holding the key against the steering wheel for 10 seconds that did not work either.

IDRIVE 8 must be different

I gave it a try says keep the first key out of the car which I did I held the new fob against the steering column, held the break down hit the start button and it says key fob not detected. Not sure what’s going on.

Double check that new fob has working battery.
Because if it says fob not detected u probably doing right steps.

Yes, I thought about that. I switch batteries from each unit still did not work. I guess I have to go to the BMW dealer.
