Hi,

I'm new to the forum so apologies if this is in the wrong place etc.

I have a 2021 M3 Saloon and am looking for a M3 Touring but struggling to find the right car.

I've found a car I like with the right spec but it has the carbon seats which I am not sure I can live with day to day.

I've had bucket seats in AMG's before but they weren't as extreme as the carbon seats - I got in an out of one a few times today and can't see me getting on with them!!

How easy is it to swap the seats for the standard version - is it a DIY job or would I need a dealer to sort it.

The carbon seats are Silverstone/Black - I've been trawling ebay for replacement 'comfort' seats but no luck so far. Does anyone know of anybody that might be interested in a swap?

Any help/guidance greatly appreciated.

We’ve done this a few times. The seats are secured with four bolts and have a single electrical harness. The hardest part is maneuvering them out the car (they’re heavy!). After they are installed the car will need to be coded or else they won’t work and you will have a chassis restraint error.

Not sure how dealers are in the UK but dealers in the US don’t code so you will need to find a third party coder. I recommend kubax86
