My bad... I missed comma...

NOTE!!!! That if you are upgrading from the Stage 1 Controller to the Stage 2 Software the cost is $250 for the upgrade from the Controller to the Software, PLUS $500 for the upgrade from Stage 1 to Stage 2!!!

I like that you can purchase stage 1, upgrade in the future for 250 USD and then transfer the warrenty. HUGE.

The upgrade from Stage 1 to Stage 2 is $500. The upgrade from Stage 1 Controller to Stage 1 Software is $250.

I am being charged $750 from Carbahn to go from my Stage 1 Controller to my Stage 2 Software.

That seems odd since it says it’s $250 to upgrade to the software and it’s not specific as to which software you pick?

If you want to trade your CarBahn Performance Controller in for software in the future, there is a $250 upgrade fee and if you purchased the warranty, it is transferable to the software at no additional charge!

Curious bout Carbahn’s dyno results (attached) of the M3 Comp RWD vs Comp XDrive…the dyno is showing the RWD Comp to be 25+HP & 25+TQ higher on the RWD than the XDrive…is this just a function of drivetrain loss? All else is the same right?

Well looks like I’m going to pull the trigger on the stage two software with heat exchanger and warranty this week. Going to be doing a bm3 flex fuel kit and xhp too. Going to suck not driving the car while ecu gets unlocked.

Is the Carbahn dealer that’s doing your tune also removing your ECU and shipping it to Femto?

Did you check with CarBahn that adding Flexfuel and XHP will retain their warranty? I would assume it won’t. Might want to check?

Just curious if you have the warranty and something goes wrong what's the process? I suppose you have to prove it's caused by Carbahn do they limit claims etc?

the carbahn tune isn't flex fuel capable, what's the intention with the bm3 kit?

Just adding a flex fuel kit to be able to read the required 100 octane. Not actually making it true flex fuel as they don’t do that, but I’ll check with them to make sure that’s ok

That’s not how a flex fuel sensor works, it doesn’t read octane.

It will read ethanol level which will give me
Octane but really I want it just in case this tune isn’t enough and I can go with a different tune down the rood. I’m hoping this tune will keep me satisfied for a while.

The 2nd part makes sense but how are you going to infer octane from ethanol content ? You can’t. You also can’t add ethanol to increase the effective octane of your fuel because the tune is not made to compensate for the difference in fueling requirements at higher ethanol percentages.

I feel like unless you are going to go 100% carbahn approved stuff to keep their warranty you might as well just go straight to bm3 and a custom tune where you will have infinitely more flexibility.

This is what I'm being told by the installer that Carbahn is telling them.
