MAD Midpipe-Only Comparison

Had the MAD midpipe installed today at Butzigear (highly recommend them if you’re in CT - it’s the only shop I bring my car).

Here’s a quick comparison video. I’ll get some drive-by shots when this snow storm clears up. I haven’t had much seat time yet but so far I’m enjoying it a lot.

I’ve had my eye on the MAD midpipe and your video pushed me over to getting it. Sounds great!

Nice! Single mid-pipe seems the way to go…I’m torn between catless DP or 200 cel. I think the 200 cel will keep the rasp down but I’m going for big power and hate to have the restrictions. Please get a DP and make another quality video so I can decide 😂😂

Not going to hijack ops thread with others videos but, there are a few videos on the forums of that setup already.

200 cell will help with any rasp but it will also tone down the db's as well.

+1 I think the single midpipe offers the best sound on this platform.

My apologies if this has already been asked and answered. It appears that the stock DME is de-tuning when cat-less DP’s are installed due to the increased airflow, etc, etc…
Is the same thing happening with just a midpipe install?
I will be tuning but I need to figure out if I am going to do the unlock and full tune or just a piggyback.
For the time being, I don’t want to be going backwards and have the car negatively compensating for mods that I am doing.
TYIA!

No, there are tons of dyno's floating around that show 1-16 whp gains with midpipes. You wont make less hp.

Front the sound clips, it sounds very similar to the single.

I'll know for sure once i test it on the shop's car next week

Excellent vid on the difference, I love my MAD mid pipe!

Just curious, when you say valves open, do you have a valve controller that is forcing them open?
And not just putting the car in sport+?

I know sport+ doesn’t fully open them, I don’t have a valve controller now with the mad mid pipe and want to know if this is how it will sound with one. Mine sounds close to this, but I think I can tell how the car throttles the valves

Yeah just to be clear, this is sport+ (no valve controller)
