Well from all the brief info u provided, I think you are the perfect candidate for ecu unlock and custom tune.
You only drive the car few days a week. You have a plaid for daily. And as long as this is not a budget issue, hook up a with a reputable shop and send the ecu out. Start with off the shelf map, see if they satisfy you, then you can hook up with a tuner to get the absolutely max out of the car.

I love how you don't even ask what fuel he was running in your internet diagnosis - seems like a logical first question before launching into a piggy tirade. Saying JB4 is junk is like saying HAS is junk because there exists 3-way MCS coilovers. The JB4 is really good at what it does given the limitations of a piggy back. It's proven safe and relatively inexpensive - it's impossible not to be safe because the ECU protections cannot be overridden.

OP - fuel makes a huge difference, and those issues you describe sound fuel related - either bad or too low octane for the map you selected. For refernce:

This is exactly what I was looking for. MS109 MAP... is that custom map you did on JB4.?

Yes, map 6 is the user configurable map. It was given to me but I will tell you on track (1/2 mile event) map 5 actually yielded better times. Take that with a grain of salt as my car is RWD so traction enters the equation. On the street and road course tracks I prefer map 3 for drivability - even with PSC2r in 295 (street) or Supercar 3r in 305 (track). You have xdrive so traction much less of an issue at these power levels.

I see. And map 3 u run for road courses, is that on 93 octane or is it some kind of a low boost Ms109 map. And are u running map 3 because obviously too much extra power creates handling issues coming out of corners etc

The road tracks I go to usually have Sunoco 100, otherwise I’ll run 91+E85 blended to E40 and which is what I run on the street. Only done one 1/2 mile event (cause it’s really not a drag car) and it was on MS109. Map 3 works best on technical tracks and helps keep temps lower. Keep in mind my car is just under 3500lbs with a quarter tank so it does quite well at ~600whp. Running it at 640whp is more exciitng but not necessarily faster laps on a technical track.

try to run a water methanol system when using map3 on the track cause ur iat will shoot to the moon otherwise keep it on map2 with ur e blend, it will be more consistent than map3

Good advice. I do have an additional heat exchanger (Carbahn) which I tested on a 99 degree track day and it kept IAT in check. I’ll have to look at my notes and logs but I did several laps starting on map 2 before 3. In extreme heat like that day I would probably leave at 2 to be safe.
