Ha!! I know what you mean, I don’t actually like British racing green it’s too dark. I’m really hoping IOM green is lighter and punchier. Definately not like Audi’s Sonoma green which is horrid!!

Yeah, the BRG + tan combo is a bit stiff upper lip, you know country mansion, stables, servants vibe for me. Doesn’t match the M3 persona. Btw, I’m currently chilling listening to “The twilight sad”, stellar band!

It's going to be hard going from red interior back to something basic like black but When it comes to having CF buckets from the factory all bets are off I'll take it.

Thanks for these fantastic rear view renders, they are ace! But using that horrid leaked uncovered M4 picture to get an idea if the new M4 is to your liking is like a model agency using this picture to promote a model, all design elements are there but you have little clue what it/she actually looks like: Last edited by solstice; 07-25-2020 at 05:38 PM.. |

Nothing there that floats my boat. I do kind of expect the "M" colour to be unique rather than the same as the rest of the 3/4 series.
I mean how many more Porto Blue, Sapphire black, Tanz blue, Dravit grey, do we need? Isle of Man and Sau Paolo don't do it.

Imola Red II, Laguna Seca Blue, Carbon Black, Phoenix Yellow The E9x M had the following M colors at launch (SOP 05/2007): Silverstone II, Interlagos Blue, Jerez Black, Le Mans Blue For the F8x, at launch: Sakhir Orange, Silverstone II, Austin Yellow, Yas Marina Blue. Granted, it's arguable whether Carbon Black and Le Mans Blue can be considered 'M-specific' but that's besides the point as they were colors available at launch for the respective generations from M GmbH's color palette nonetheless. Still, I certainly remember the F8x being critiqued by some for not offering a wide enough selection of proper primary colors at launch (blue was smurf, 'red' was orange-ish, yellow was mustard, etc.) For the G8x, the confirmed colors thus far seem to address the shortcomings of the initial F8x color offerings, with a proper red (Toronto), green (Isle of Man), two shades of blue (Tanzanite & Portimao), a bright yellow (Sao Paolo), and your White/Black/Grey for everyone else.

I'm in a MGM F82 now and love it but looking for something brighter next go around. If Toronto was a deeper, darker red I'd definitely jump. As it stands, Sao Paolo is the front runner.
With regard to the front end styling - I'll forgive GmbH. Clearly a deal with the devil has been made. Engineering sufficient to put 510hp down safely in trade for a fugly front end. Park distance control is a must. I'll be pulling straight into the garage and won't be stopping until the red zone warnings reach crescendo.

Come in Canada. You will see why... Except if you want to drive that thing 3 months per year and get an SUV for winter. Or, drive an M SAV and have both cars in one all year round ... |

I wish they would do away with Alpine white. So many other beautiful versions of White to offer IMO. Why offer an M car with the standard BMW loaner car color?

I agree here. Of course there is no similarity regarding the design language, but for example these black parts (skirts, diffusor etc.) are overstyled and look like some aftermarket parts, there definitely is a Civic Type R vibe. With the earlier M cars I always liked that they avoided that, but it still looked sporty and special (unlike AMG, where certain parts looked ricey IMHO).
