Partially to expose it, but also because it doesn't fit! The CSF inlet manifold is larger than that standard one. We love how the Eventuri cover makes a much more symmetrical design and fills the triangle of the strut brace.

Just recently started focusing on the engine bay as most of my energy has been exterior. Only things so far are Armaspeed intake and an engine cover I recently refinished in “frozen white” (actually a Chrysler base white with a Honda pearl top coat and a matte clear). Close enough for government work. Free handed the silver “BMW M Power”.

When you’re just undecided. Side by side of the size difference between Matt@Evolve Eventuri engine cover and IND-Distribution Dravit painted engine cover. Both are amazing. If you’re ever in doubt of IND-Distribution paint, look no further. It’s amazing, and I’m paint correction picky. It’s great.

Hey guys, I've got a Downstar dress up kit (and an IND-Distribution painted engine cover!) to install this weekend.

I apologize fore the stupid question, but what is the name of the head type I'll need to pull off the bolts in the attached picture?

Also -- do I need to be worried about torque spec or should I just make sure the bolts are on tight?

I didn’t buy any special sockets to remove these bolts. 12 point socket, probably. And unless someone pulls out a service manual, I just tightened them good-n-tight.

I'm fairly certain those are technically external torx bolts (E-torx). I just happened to have these sockets by Kobalt but as mentioned a 12pt socket should be fine. I just made sure they were tight, didn't follow any set torque settings

I thought buying both would fix my dillema, and I don’t think it has. I think I’ll just switch them back and forth from time to time. I have no favorite. I do like how the Eventuri design is more symmetrical, with regards to the left side design being copied over to the right side. But the painted one is also amazing

That works - they are both good options!

I'm sticking with painted as my Karbonius bar (black mount) will be here next week. I don't want too much carbon fiber under hood, plus I really like the green cover.

Karbonius black mount is probably at the top of my list, right now. The CSL was, until it didn’t fit with the Eventuri.
