Is 3.3% off MSRP good?
Hi,
Looking to trade in my M440i for a new M4 Competition. Getting good trade value according to all the research. Dealer is lowering MSRP by 3.3 %. In these days I can’t tell if that’s a good deal anymore. Thoughts. Thanks |

People getting 10-12% are finding ones on lots and negotiating down. If OP is looking for an order, they're not going to have as much luck.
3.3% off MSRP assuming around 90-95 is decent, but you could probably get another $1k off. I wouldn't expect too much though. |

I am not referring to the past. People are getting M4 discounts because there is a lot of them on the lots. There is no more shortages on M4, I think it’s the opposite problem now for G82. |

Yup, got 10.75% off sticker and 12% off what the sticker would have been becuase they bumped base price from 84940 to 86300 after my June build. Individual mint green M4CX coupe in inventory. You won’t find that on an M3 of any variant is my guess.

End of month and year, I’d push for more. Also depends what their giving you on your trade. Plenty of ways the dealer can screw you - trade, discount, financing etc.

A dealer with 1 or 2 cars isn’t going to go to 10% off IMO. The dealer that sold the 10% off has like a dozen M4 individual builds and it seemed like most of them had not sold since that list was first circulated on here a while back. I don’t think 10% is what most people can expect.
Last December it was the same deal - 1 or 2 people had gotten a crazy deal 7-8% off and every time anyone asked about a discount they were made to think that’s what everyone is getting… |

Thanks. Folks are right, my M440i trade complicated the conversation a bit. I contacted another BMW dealer and they were at 5% off MSRP with no trade. After looking at the deal in its entirety, think I’m getting a decent deal and bought the M4 Competition today. Thanks to all who responded.
