highly unlikely. They've also neutered the performance center delivery and will now take away the included hotel stay effective January 1.

I doubt it. There was a fairly large petition circulating after the announcement and it didn’t seem to make waves.

I hope it does, but I doubt it.

That’s the first I heard of that happening. That sucks…

It's even been neutered already with them stopping factory tours during the current expansion going on.

We at least got a refrigerator magnet Roundel that said "FACTORY TOUR" on it so...better than nothing I guess.

That's really unfortunate about the hotel stay axing.

Do you know if any of the other German brands do it? I'm under the impression that only Porsche still does.

BMW seems to be making a lot of brand-tarnishing decisions lately. I recently found out that the nearly $100,000 brand new M3 I just ordered only comes with a DRIVERS SIDE exterior self-dimming mirror.

Can't believe that's where they decided to cut cost. Lmao.

What are your thoughts on the Cal/Stanford move to the ACC?

I'm a USC guy and I personally think the whole Pac-12 dissolution is a complete disaster.

As far as I know, this is actually EU regulation requiring this. From what I remember reading, it was difficult to see oncoming cyclists/pedestrians since they're usually on the right side of you, making it tough to see them if the mirrors are dimmed, so they're not allowed to dim anymore.

Some manufacturers may have different parts for different markets but I guess BMW decided to just have it uniform for all markets.

Porsche still does, but there’s a fee involved, and… Volvo, lol. That’s it.

That doesn't make sense though because all my Audis, even a 23 year old S4, has passenger dimming mirrors.

My fiance's G05 X5 is the same way where the passenger mirror doesn't dim.

Yes, that's what I mentioned:

Obviously it's cheaper to do it this way, since they only have to make one mirror for every market. VW (Audi) opted to make a different part with different capabilities for different markets.

I had around 10 on mine.

Not to sidetrack the thread here but man when I look at pics of old vs new gauges I just can't help but want at a toggle where I can choose round gauges. I absolutely hate the rpm and speedometer style I have in my G80. So glad I have the HUD so I don't have to look at them lol. Every time I drive our F15 X5 I just admire the old school look. Rant done.

My 3 welt delivery’s have always been less than 3 miles. My 7 PCD’s max has been 15 miles, usually around 5 miles. Factory only tests the car if it is pulled for a random drive for quality control testing outside the factory on the track. Not all cars are tested/driven at the factory. The engine is tested when it is manufactured before the “marriage” with the chassis. You all seeing high mileage for dealership pick ups mean that sales people are giving themselves and/or customers test drives before you pick it up. Which is just wrong.
