Mike’s Auto Designs. Great guy, tell him Lawrence sent you. He’s your PPF guy… he doesn’t do tint.

Check our Trevor Stringer at The Detail Lab. Hands down an art what he does with paint correction, ceramics, PPF.

I originally used "GetDipped" services in Dallas for ceramic coating and PPF as I was interested in the idea of liquid wrapping my car. After they royally fked up doing the PPF, I used MSD Auto Finish in Richardson to fix it and make it right. Thomas is the owner and did fantastic work on my M4. Took excellent care of my car with removing the original PPF and did near perfect work installing the new PPF for me.

For future folks on this thread - Speed Shield in Addison is A++. They aren’t the cheapest but I’ve had them do full wraps, custom stripes, PPF, etc and their work is immaculate.

Used them multiple times. Good shop in Addison -- Speed Shield

newimageautodetail

Haltom City probably the best shop in FW for PPF.

I stopped by Speed Shield. The work that I saw in the shop does look good (to the extent that I am able to tell), but their prices are definitely on the high end.

From what I understand, they use a "bulk" installation method, where they cut the film on the vehicle, rather than using pre-cut pieces. You definitely want the best of the best if you're going to use this method, so the pricing makes sense from that point of view.

Personally, I don't want anyone cutting on my vehicle, so I'll be looking elsewhere.

Honestly, the whole process of finding an installer has been incredibly frustrating. There are a ton of installers in DFW; all of them have web sites full of beautiful exotics (some of which they may have worked on); all of them have huge numbers of positive reviews (some of which may even be real). I'm not sure that's really possible for a consumer to actually judge them.

I'm not there yet, but I may just give up on PPF. At least I have a body shop that I trust for the inevitable resprays.

New Image Detailing in Haltom City is phenomenal. I’m PICKY and they have done 3 of my cars and some of my friends. Kody and his crew are PPF masters. Had my M3 full body ppf’ed and the trucks got full fronts and some other high impact areas.

If you don't mind sharing, how much for the full PPF on the M3?

Do they use a "bulk" technique or precut?

Has anyone used Apex Auto in Addison for PPF?

If so, how was your experience?

Curious on what you paid as well, got a new M3 coming in to Autobahn sometime in late April/May and want to set something up to get PPFed.

I had them do full PPF, tint (including the windshield), and windshield protection film on my M3C. Despite my earlier comment, I ultimately decided that I would never be happy with the visible edges of a precut install.

It definitely wasn't cheap, but I'm very happy with the results. (Although this the first vehicle I've had wrapped, so take my opinion with a grain of salt.) It's impossible to tell that the car has been wrapped without a very close inspection. The only visible edges are in the openings of the front bumper and near the spoiler, but even those are very professional looking. And of course, I haven't seen any peeling, bubbles, etc.

Glad to hear you found something and they performed the work up to snuff.
