Negotiate the dealer discount before factory incentives and rebates. The factory programs may change but the dealer discount is coming out of their pocket and it’s their commitment.

Negotiate before you commit to an order - when you do that you lose almost all your leverage.

Negotiate on the selling price of the car, not the monthly payment.

good idea with the calculator. I did it the other way, and told him i' not paying 900 for (x5).. he said thats fine.

So small update, went to dealer this morning.. finalized x5 order. And he had an m3 allocation that was already specced for the dealership. He then moved it, and put our name on it. At this point i'm impressed... He specced the car my brother wanted, and he submitted the special paint request already. We didn't talk numbers at all on the m3 though.. but the vehicle is still 90 or more days away anyway.

I doubt they offering .09 on interest for 2022. Maybe 1.9

I'm getting 0.9% on my 2022 G80. Got verbal agreement and email stating it. I also had them add it to the purchase agreement before signing.

Same here. My 2022 AWD car is still in transit but I put in my application before August 2nd just in case rates go up.

Finance Manager confirmed I've locked in 0.9% at 60 months, so I know I have that option if I decide to finance with BMW.

I'm Expecting a $1400 a month payment on a lease. 93K Msrp and Texas Taxes suck ass. If i wasn't rolling the taxes in it would be $1250. Car will be Worth it and i'm not worried about the $1400 a month at all.

Same here as well, .9% with dealer discount for my 2022 all in purchase agreement signed on both ends. Had no idea deals were hard to come by as my dealer gave me $1400 off MSRP before I even started negotiating just as a curtesy.

BMW financial is only showing this special for the 2021. Is it financing via BMW still? I need to lock in my rate before Aug 2 also if this is the case.

Yes, BMW FS. When you submit your application you can select the 2022 model

How early can I sit down and lock financing in? I have a build week of 31? I'm $102,895. Had my friend run the lease numbers in his system at work He sells cars. $10K down $1304 to $1396 a month, from 10K lease to 15K lease. .00093 and $925 acquisition.

You can submit the application and lock it in at any time, however, the lock is only good for 60 days on the east coast and 90 days on the west coast.

With all the delays it can be hard to say exactly when the best time is though…

I'm in California, so Ill see about locking in for a 90 day, just in case. Ill lock on the 1st of August, to give me the max amount of time. Either way, the cars are taking a little longer to build. Especially with cameragate. If the deals are better after the 2nd, Ill go with that.

Just a word of warning, the application can take a day or two to process, maybe more. Two days went by and I never received any notification. I called up BMW NA, but without an active BMW FS account number I couldn't get in touch with them. I finally got to a BMW NA agent that could confirm for me a decision was made, but they have no way to see what it was! Finally later that day my dealer that I selected got the notification I was approved.

Short of it is, apply a few days before the 8/2 just in case they don't process your application until after the new rates come out.

I'm assuming this is a lease swap? If so, how many months left and yearly mileage?

Just to clarify, It is a lot. But this is my first time financing with BMW, and this car is about twice what I usually finance. So, I may have to show them I'm serious, for them to approve me.

My FICOs are in the mid to high 700s and I live at about a 13% debt to income ratio. $100k isn't a big number for me, but that may be what I need to come in at.

I'll see what they offer me when I sit down and talk finance. If I can come in with less, then maybe I will. And why make a $1,700 a month car payment, when $10k is about a month and a half of overtime. I work overtime when I want toys and don't want it making a dent in my base income.

Mid-high 700's is perfect for establishing a relationship with BMWFS.
