I just received the following response from
my CA who reached out to his area rep for an explanation on my QC purgatory (3 weeks and counting):

"National says the two cars have been in rework for something to do with the CID. They are no longer on the list of cars waiting so its assumed they have been completed and will progress to the next production status shortly. No formal ETA, just keep an eye on the VIN inquiry."

Two are mentioned as my dealer has two customer builds incoming, mine being one of the two.

Thank you for your update - way more than I'm receiving on my end. Maybe this is a dumb question (and, yes, I did search) but what is CID? Anything of concern for the WIP rework?

I'm in the same boat as you with a G80 Comp sitting in QC since mid-late November…

CID is the "Center Information Display" which I guess the automotive term for the dash screen. I recall seeing this on the forum in the past as an issue due to parts shortages. Hopefully our cars will clear QC soon with no further delays but given the current state of things I'm not hopeful.

4 weeks now. I hope i have delivery in Januari.

Mine comes with the train to Belguim.

Holiday shutdown is the next three weeks, so probably week 2 at the earliest.

I’m new to the forum and I don’t see any threads or topics on the 2022 BMW 840i Gran Coupe so I’ll jump in with y’all ☺️ I’ve been in QC since 11/19 so I’m 32 days and counting. I have the “Retrofitting the receiver audio module” defect code open. Praying I’ll see my car by the end of January or at least the first week of February 🙏🏾

Can anyone confirm what, if anything, happens at the port in Bremerhaven (port addons, fixing recalls, etc) or if they just sit there waiting for a vessel? CA said they were putting on my port options during my hold but I haven't seen any info online to confirm that this happens.
