I have sent out multiple emails to corporate for BMW and am waiting to hear back. Will update you guys. This shit’s getting out of hand.

Nearly 5 weeks here in QC. I sent an email to corporate as well but I don’t expect to hear anything back until after the new year.

I’m at 4 1/2 weeks of QC Purgatory. It’s my first BMW, and I thought it would go quickly because my 330i build is very basic (phytonic blue with oyster vernasca leather and mostly standard options). Maybe it’s due to that spare tire that I ordered! From the Genius line, I’ve been told: it’s because of delays at the Mexico plant; it’s from transportation delays at the ports; and the latest today,
“We have no idea.” Thanks to all of who have been waiting so much longer (with no real information either) for letting us know about the frustrations that may be still ahead. I will post again with an update if that might be helpful. |

Does anyone have an idea why providing ZERO information/updates to all of us waiting seems like a good strategy for BMW to employ?
At a minimum "We're doing our best and appreciate your patience" in an email or text occaisionally?? I the void of information they've created festers a lot of disenchantment and frustration - I've got a longer memory than they're counting on and won't forget how poorly this was all handled. |

It's just old school dealership-model mentality.. you want updates, speak with your CA or management. It really has little bearing on them, the car is sold, whether you take it or not. And most companies don't even have a method for tracking at all, heck, BMW doesn't even offer tracking worldwide.

I HAVE PROGRESS!!!
Sales guy just rang me to say that my M3 is finally out of QC (status 150) and is now dispatched to port of exit (status 190). Delivery date is now week 2! I hope everyone else gets some good news (and some good luck) soon!! |

Excellent news! Which build week were you? I am Week 46 which anecdotally seems like the cutoff for cars that are stuck in QC as I'm been seeing others with later build weeks make it out.
