Noisy brakes

Just under 500 miles and my brakes are quite noisy particularly when coming to a stop. I've read about bedding them in but I'm wondering if others have experienced the "screeching" and if bedding them in resolved it?

At the moment the noise is quite embarrassing. Thanks for the input!

Note: I do realize I spelled "brake" wrong in the thread title. Let's move on

Double checked to make sure it wasn't a rock in the brake shield?

Otherwise, it's just all a part of the performance brake life. 🤷🏻

Quoting myself from another thread on the same topic.

Something along the lines of "extended periods of low brake load can cause excess noise".

One trip to Mexico or the canyons and you're good. Bed them in.

I just made a post about this in the suspension/brake section...

I've been dealing with this for the life of the car - 5,000 miles. Some hard braking at speed will make them silent for a couple hundred miles, but it'll come back.

I'm in search of a new bed where dust and sound are low. I'm completely ready to accept the lower performance aspect as well.

I'm at 1200 miles and have experienced noisy brakes on my G80. Had a long drive last week where I did some hard breaking and it helped. I've also had performance brakes on non BMW cars and experienced the same thing.

I had the squeaky brake problem for the first 200 miles. I have done some heavy braking due to being pissed at how noisy brakes were and it has helped tremendously. It does squeak from time to time but its very faint. Defiantly not like before.

Comes with the territory. BMW took the CCBs off of ordering because they had a class action over CCBs squealing. Performance brakes are going to make noise. It's the price you pay to stop from 180mph.

Over the years I've been fortunate to be able to drive the M5, M6, M8 and X4M. None have suffered this problem.

I remember complaining to my SA about the brakes when my car had ~ 6k miles ... He said he's surprised it took this long for the noise

Not new to M. New to the G80. Doesn't sound like I'll see a favorable outcome.
