My turn to ask about an update - specs or at least production details.

Given the recent news of the LCI, the CS would look like a pre-LCI model if it is slated for early next year.

Doubling down when you are doing the wrong thing is not smart, and it appears BMW has done that yet again.

I'm not sad, I'm disappointed.

Just going through the thread, this is some funny stuff.

I'm probably missing the point here, but a 5 month wait time would not be considered a failed exterior design approach.

The failed design approach does not pivot off of time, it pivots off of design used. The design used is still horrible. The LCI could have been a redesigned front bumper at a min. Did that happen? Lol no.

Go on YouTube and watch automotive designers analyze the G8x, it's hilarious.

You're not missing the point, he's off his rocker. Thinks that because he dislikes the design, everyone does, and it a huge screwup on BMWs part.

Hahahahaha that's made me laugh the hardest today. Good one.

Do I really need to spell out each individual component that is designed poorly?

This isn't rocket science.

Failed, in the eyes of a few, maybe, but not in the many (tens of thousands by now?) that are buying, waiting for allocations, and enjoying.

You do, but please show the class your diploma in automotive design/engineering, preferably a Masters or PhD. We'll wait.

Haha these are facts dude, and the design based one's are literally shared by actual automotive designers.

I'm sorry you can't see it, probably why you bought a g8x though.

Wow, it's a cult.

I remember a similar scenario where millions of people where complaining about a particular someone that was "arguably" out performing his predecessors, but was not behaving in a specific manner. So now they have someone who DOES behave in a certain specific manner, and all went to hell...

Maybe we're entering a "Looks > Performance" era/culture/generation

I'm personally all about performance 1st. That is why I went with the G82. And in a way, I'm glad that I had no prior affiliation with the BMW culture, otherwise, I'd probably be protesting as well ;/

If i dislike something, I wouldn't waste my time in a forum dedicated for it. You can see that most people complaining about looks are not in the market for a G8x or own a previous generation and wants to make a point that theirs is the best.

imo, I believe there is still a chance they do a minor front end re-design. The G80 and G82 share the same front end. Im willing to bet that when they do the "LCI" for the G82 for MY2024 thats when you will see slight changes to the front of the G80 as well.

This is just a matter of opinion, and while I don't agree with yours, it's your right as an American to be wrong.
