Thanks! Yeah it is hard to stray away from the S101, so doing it in their "SC' variant is a perfect, modern touch for these later models and aggressive cues.

The faces are done in Frozen Dark Clear and the FMR barrel is Brushed Clear.

Akrapovic system installed! This is the Evo link pipe (short), their slip-on muffler, and the new octagonal tips.

Suspension and carbon updates!

We have been working with MCS on finalizing spring rates and shock body development. We appear to be in our last iteration of those details with them, which means that these should be on their way into production very soon!

We also had another visit from RSC (thread found here https://g80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...&highlight=acm) to get some follow up measurements on the G80 side skirts and diffuser. Since then, we've gotten their first prototype G80 side skirt for test fitting. These will be getting altered a bit before going into final production.

We got our hands on this Recaro Pro Racer RMS seat a little ways back and we were looking for the right home for it. We figured why not in the G80? What do you guys think?

It is hard to remember a more controversial introduction than the G8x has received. While press photos took people by surprise, including ourselves, we held our reservations until we saw it in person, keeping the faith that BMW's M division would deliver.

We were open to colors for both the exterior and interior, our only stipulations were for it to have four doors and three pedals. So when the chance to get a Brooklyn Grey over black, manual G80 popped up, we jumped on it.

BG has a beautiful metallic flake that doesn't translate in photos. In person it really highlights and changes the tones depending on the lighting conditions. For the interior, as epic as the carbon buckets are, we have some ideas floating around in our heads and we would've felt bad removing them from the car, so nothing lost with the base ones (which are remarkably comfortable!)

After about 150 very impressive miles, the first order of business is to rip some components out of it for R&D. We will be updating this thread with all of its progress. Thanks for checking in and stay tuned for more!

We got the car over to a local cars and coffee this past weekend where it received lots of positive feedback by people of all automotive backgrounds who were seeing it for the first time.

Alpha N hood arrived for our G80! We're very impressed by the overall finish of it. The weave is very clean and it carries the body lines perfectly. Not much of a fuss to get it lined up to fit either which is always a plus. Now that it's on, she's goin out for paint!
