With carbon roof don't think you can install roof rack, just a flap cover.

Canadian F80 had this option but here in US, the only thing is visit the dealer and take a look at the vehicle.

I can also verify that the holes are there under the flaps with carbon roof. No pic but I saw with me own eyes.

There are threaded inserts under the covers for a rack mount. You can absolutely use a rack on the setup. One of the first things I looked at when I checked out an M3 the other day. BMW rectified the the F8x fiasco of not having mounts starting with the F90 M5 roof setup.
