My man, super glad to hear you're finally moving. I know my car only sat at port for about a week before hopping on the Don Pasquale. I'm hoping they get yours on a ship super quick due to the delay.

Did everyone else’s status go backwards to “At the port”? I called my dealer just to confirm that it’s here and he said it is.

Seems odd that the progress bar would go back a step once it reached port in the US.

Yeah, that's normal. Once it's at the German port, it'll transition to "At Port" then "In Transit" as it floats. Once it arrives stateside, it goes back to "At Port" to signal it's at the port of arrival. It'll skip straight to "At the Dealership" once it arrives from the VPC. No need to worry my man.

It arrived at port on 12/1. Truck is scheduled to pick it up on 12/7 and the dealer believes they should have it that day.

My dealer said allow 2-3 days for prepping the car after they get it.

Hey man, don't mind me asking but what dealership did you go through? That's what my CA told me for a timeline, as well.

BMW Fort Washington. My CA told me 1-2 days for PDI and if they get it on the 7th they should be able to make Saturday.

Seeing as how they’re only about an hour and a half from port I don’t see why they shouldn’t get the car same day on the 7th.

Ahh, OK. I ordered through Circle BMW in Eatontown, NJ. Just curious if we ordered out of the same place. Congrats on picking yours up soon! I'm having mine delivered to me in NC due to my work schedule.

Yeah my sales associate confirmed the ship should land in Oxnard on the 8th, but somehow she thinks it’ll be ready on the afternoon of the 9th. I highly doubt it but should be soon either way.

Nice. My dealer has actually been pretty spot on with their estimates throughout the whole process. I was surprised. They told me 6-9 months and it's right on 6 now.

Got on their list at the end of June and the dealer got an allocation at the end of September. And here I am picking it up 6 months later.

Holy shit, 6 months? I used Day Laborer and received an allocation immediately. I placed my deposit Sept. 30 and I should have the car next week.

Haha yeah. I wasn't in any rush to get one so the wait didn't matter much. Plus I had to sell my prior car before buying this one.

Shit, that's fair. I keep forgetting my car wasn't always a week 44 build. Originally, I was supposed to be in Week 48. Regardless, super pumped that our cars are finally getting ready to come home!

Well dudes, myBMW is showing the car at the dealership. I spoke with my CA a little bit ago and he said if he doesn't see it in the next hour, then it'll be there in the morning. So, I should be taking delivery next week.

Nice! Congrats man excited to hear about the delivery! I think you might be one of the first week 44s to take delivery? Yours and mine will be a good example of what BMW can do when things go smoothly(yours) and when they dont(mine), lol. Built one day apart you’re about to take delivery and mine still hasn’t made it to Bremerhaven, not that I’m salty at all about it!
