Experience with Akra slip on for G8x platform?
What have people’s experiences been like with the Akra slip on for the M3? Thinking of getting one for my M3 Touring as don’t like the stacked layering of the MPE and love the titanium sound and look of the Akra.

Greetings from Indonesia. We're neighbours. How's the M crowds over there? Just came back from Melbourne and Sydney. Didn't see much of M over there. So many Holden's though lol.... Anyway, I do have a slip on Akra on my M4. It's called Evolution Line Titanium. It can be fit for both M3 or M4 and M3 Touring as well. One word to describe Akra: Awesome! I've had try many many different Exhaust system and none of them could even compete with Akra. It is The Best! The sound, the built quality are out of this world. Installation was fast. It took only 1,5 hours to installed. It connects to the main system, so no need to use additional remote to turn on and off the valve. Just press the M1/2 and you're all set! The sound is very deep growl and deep pops and bangs. Nothing's like those cheap exhaust system loud and annoying pops and bangs. However, there is one downside: Expensive! lol....but you do get what you pay for. It's totally worth every penny.

The Akra is probably the best exhaust out there. That said, it’s ~11k US and that buys a lot of go-fast mods. The Akra is lighter than the stock system and a better design so if lucky you may pick up 15HP. $800 per HP is awfully high. Most people buy them for the sound. They do sound amazing but tough to spent 1/10th the cars value for sound. At least for me.

From a quality perspective, Akrapovic is the best
Sound-wise, it's subjective. Akrapovic is titanium, producing more of a high-pitched sound and less of a deep mid-range tone.

I think the best value is the long Linkpipe which is hard to get in the US. The slip-on exhaust probably won’t improve sound too noticeably without the Linkpipe. Just my opinion. I’ve had the Akra-evo (includes linkpipe) on the F80 and F87 and the sound was a massive improvement over the stock system.

If you can get the long pipes (I was lucky enough to!) it sounds amazing combined with catless downpipes. I've heard it with the short pipes (after secondary resonators) and def not work the 8k IMO.
