Def let us know how you feel about that manual!! I'm slowly getting more and more used to mine.

This sucks. Lol. Especially with the manual. Sucks getting passed by slower cars when off a dig with the iffy 2nd gear

The 435 I just upgraded from was a manual, too. This one pretty much feels the same just a but tighter right now. I’m sure it was start to loosen up and smooth out a bit as I break it in. While I don’t often use the start/stop feature, I have noticed that the engine seems to start up a bit more agressively than my old 435 and needs a second to come back to idle before you drive off, otherwise you’ll induce some embassasing bucking off the start.

The babying should be somewhat natural, at least for a little while, as I’m a bit nervous driving it about and settling into it. I’ll feel a little better once the PPF has been installed but I’ll still have some time to get familiar with all of the new tech before I can relax and just drive.

I just got mine back from PPF and it was so much nicer to not have to worry about a rock chip! Prior to that, I was avoiding every construction vehicle for 50 miles LOL

Are you going to leave the xDrive badge on the car? I had it removed as I thought its silver color didn't go with the rest of the black badging on the car.

I don’t know yet, it doesn’t bother me. For now, I’m replacing the emblems and wheel caps to the 50 year M emblems, and gonna replace the front mesh air vents with the CSL and the new 2025 style , but in gloss black

Crossed the finish line

Took delivery on April 12.
Details of process from allocation request in Post #4.

This was a smooth buying process. None of the usual annoying, endless negotiations with the finance department or miss-ordering of the car.

I wasn't planning on trading my F80 but they offered an acceptable (to me) amount so I went with it. Paid cash. Received the $2,500 BMW military rebate (followed the instructions on BMWUSA web page.)

I cannot see how the dealership should or could have done anything differently. A pleasant car buying experience.

I bought my two F80s from this dealer (both European delivery.)
