It has not happened to me yet. One of my neighbours got a black G82. Every time I walk by his house I cringe. I just can’t get myself to like the G82’s aesthetics from any angle.

Not gonna lie, I was shocked when I saw the first leak photos of the front. But everything else (including the interior) appealed to me right away. Over time, I got used to the front and I actually liked it when I saw it in person for the first time. So I even went with a lighter color (Skyscraper Grey) which doesn't hide the grille.

First initially release I was hesitant on the G80s, but after some time I've also come to like the appeal especially with some mods to the front end.

Just recently received my G82 M4 and I love it! My F80 is still a blast to drive so I can switch between both.

The G80 styling is a mess. Not pretty. Not handsome. Not sure what it is. But going to buy one anyway.

I like it Think the vert early "leaked" pictures did not due it justice. Shape seems to favor dark colors over light.

Early on I was making a decision between keeping my F80 M3 comp (2018), buying a new m2 cs, or purchasing the g80.

I went for the f87 m2 cs and ultimately the car felt "dated" inside.. the outside was beautiful and it drove like a king. I then had a small booboo on my cs I couldn't get over, so I traded the car in and waited 10 months for my current g80 m3 xdrive 2022, fully specced, full leather, carbon seats the works.

My only regret was not going individual paint but Portimao is a beautiful blue with many attributes in diff lighting conditions. I'm in love. Recently, I started driving more in 2WD mode with the drift settings around 4, and love being in hooligan mode again.

The car is better than any f8x generation, bar none. As the 2021's end leases and become more available to the current f8x crowd, you'll see more people change their tune. It is ez to shit on something when you can't afford it (not always the case) but as soon as its within the used car reach, people tend to flip and I think that has a lot to do with new body styles taking awhile to feel like the whole community is bought in

Not everyone can afford a brand new 100k car, but once those cars are in the 40-50k range, people gravitate towards them and it makes the overall acceptance of the car feel more appreciated.

I attended a Time Attack this past weekend. I got lots of compliments on the car, and my official lap times. People who requested ride-alongs were blown away that the pig nose, "heavy" M4 ate up the corners and drifted happily through the sweepers with precision and grace. I don't care if anyone "can't get over" how it looks!

Today I looked at the G80 in a photo and I thought… damn, that’s a good looking car.
I proceeded to check my temperature and stuck out my tongue in the mirror. Nothing but a very minor hangover from last nights Guinness. I can’t blame it on booze.

Since it is in the garage I know it actually looks much better in person than in photo, but today was the first day that I actually looked at the G80 in print with… enjoyment and not disgust!

It happened, the flippening.
I’ll never know if I was just beaten into submission by the constant barrage of G80 photos, or if BMW designers are the avant-garde of automotive manufacturing and are so hip that it took me 3 years to come around to their genius.

But, I now think the G80 actually looks better than the F80.

I realize that a great number of you will have me shot for saying this and I’m sorry I let you down. I couldn’t hang on, alone, out in the cold.

I have loved the G8X since the beginning. I still would like one in my garage to accompany the 992, the commuter and the bike......but alas, I'm not made of money. LOL!

Beyond that, not hugely different from the front end of a bmw today lol. All depends on whether you like a solid block of black or not. I don’t find one better than the other.

Although, the lights are cool.

I dunno, the Koreans have been pretty consistent with their concepts to production designs being fairly close. They are doing some great things in the market right now. I bet it looks pretty close to that in production form.

You know whats weird, when the current F90 came out with the Marina Bay Blue metallic, I was in love. I couldnt wait to get my hands on one but didnt want to justify paying over 100K for a car. So I waited so I could get a gently used one for under 80K. Then I saw the BMW concept and how the 4 series adapted that front end and liked it a lot. Then the G80 came out and it was love at first sight at the piggy and my lust for the F90 just vanished. Even though I went with the I4 initially (practicality but still had the nose), I still couldnt get over how much I loved the nose of the G80 and how unique it is to BMW. Every other model had the same BMW grill except the 4 series and G80 and it literally looked like a "Kidney Grill" !!. I dont think I would have gotten the G80 if it had standard grill (like the F80) coz then you are just another BMW on the road and nothing special here.

The more I look at the m4, the more I like it.
When modded nicely… I think it might be the best car bmw makes.
