I'm gonna get some professional pics taken next week from both the interior and exterior, I'll share them as well. It looks a lot more silver than I thought it would (I thought it would look almost white), but I love it!

I am a week 48 build, M4xC, been at the port since 12/2. Genius shows no stops, but other site shows 2 stop sales, RAM and AMP. Genius on last chat, 12/21, had no carrier information. My take was that there was no ship assigned yet, and my read on the tone of the Genius was suprised. I commented, and the genius said this was still in the timeline of SOP. So I wait.

same here just talked to genuis, no carrier assignment says port has slowed down do to holidays, chances are it will be shipped start of jan.

Carrier assignment is when they figure out which ship it's going to board. My understanding is that this happens before the car leaves the factory. Once at port the time waiting is probably processing, loading, and waiting for the ship to leave. The ship will not leave until it is full, or at least until it's full enough to warrant the journey. So if there are less cars being shipped, it will take longer to fill the ship.

You are likely on the way to port, or at port and they haven't updated your status yet. The next status after "DISPATCHED FROM FACTORY" is "AT THE PORT". This usually takes a day. After that it's "IN TRANSIT" meaning it's departed the port on a boat. I was about 9 or 10 days AT THE PORT before I got IN TRANSIT. I believe the status updates between AT THE PORT and IN TRANSIT are a bit delayed, as you get the IN TRANSIT status about a day after the boat actually departs.

At what point would the vin show a stop sale open? I've been at the port for almost 3 weeks now and no stop sales noted. Would they not come up until it reaches the U.S port, or would a stop sale already be noted by now?

Mine just flipped to intransit! Was also parked at the port since 12/8. It's on the horizon highway scheduled to arrive Galveston on the 15th of Jan! Good luck all!

Here's a weird update. My car has been IN TRANSIT for the past 20 days and was scheduled to arrive in the USA today. The ship has arrived but my status has been downgraded to AT THE PORT, a step backwards. I'm guessing and hoping this is a glitch in the system and I haven't been tracking a vessel that actually didn't contain my car these past few weeks! Anyone else encounter this phenomena?

I'm guessing I won't get an updated status until the car arrives at the BMW VPC. I did add a port installed option yesterday, so maybe that threw the car into a new queue so they could install it. This is a Priority 1 car so hopefully it won't be delayed too long.
