Yes, that's a question I asked before about that hump square in the middle of your crotch: When you go from gas to brake, it has to be annoying as a daily driver to feel that lump in the middle of your seat, no?

I picked up my car today after a long wait. I’m 5’11, 230 lbs, wide back/shoulders. The seats are snug but not uncomfortable. The car is a 6 speed and i have not felt the carbon bump once, i don't even notice it is there, surprisingly. It is easy enough to get in, just fall ass first, but getting out.... if anyone knows how to do it without looking like a complete idiot, please let me know.

as much as I love and want the CF buckets... it's just not practical enough for me in a daily driver.... they are some of the nicest looking seats I've ever seen thought! Cheers to everyone and anyone getting them!

Watch.... now I'm going to reverse course and get them

EDIT: It helps that I want Tartufo and those are NOT available in buckets.... may have saved me $3500

How are these going to be useful in my daily driver if they are a pain in the A$$ to get out of all day long?

For those who mentioned the door sill technique for getting in and out without putting pressure on the side bolster, is the technique similar to this?

Greer I am over 40, over 50, over 60 and over 70. M3 with CF buckets is my daily driver. I live in a big city and most of my trips are short

I took part in BMW track event over the weekend. They had several M3s with M sport and Carbon buckets and I had track time with both seats. CB had a perfect snug and were great. As reported by several people in the past, it definitely takes sometime to get to used to ingress and egress. I also saw quite a bit of wear on the CB seat edges and not sure about the longevity. If i am planning to keep this vehicle for a while, i might not tick CB seat option when i order mine.

Does anyone have a fresh video of this?

Just click ‘Watch On YouTube’. For some reason the video link won’t embed correctly.

I will use my car for business a lot, and I can't have clients going through all this for ingress and egress. Please click on the video where it says "Watch on YouTube". It shows how to enter and exit sports bucket seats.

I've recently took delivery of my M4 Competition Coupe which has the CF bucket seats. I weigh approx 265 lbs @ a height of 5'11".

The bucket seats are snug fitting, but are remarkably comfortable once you're in. I will say that initially they weren't that comfortable. I had driven for about an hour and needed to get out and do a few stretches. Once that was done I was able to travel further with little or no complaints.

The carbon fiber center piece seems to be useless while driving on the roads. I don't notice it when driving. And switching from accelerating to braking doesn't seem to be impeded by the carbon fiber center insert. However, I have a track day scheduled in mid-September which may prove the center pieces usefulness.

I can also say that getting in and out doesn't seem to be too difficult. You merely need to learn how to get in and out. That's something I learned within a few trips.

Everyone is different of course. But I can say for myself I made the right decision. The carbon bucket seats look good, have firm support, and don't appear to be getting scuffed up.

Just had the opportunity to drive a G80. Out of respect for the car and it’s owner I did not get on it at all but the feel of the car especially the chassis was incredible!! I have spec’d the carbon buckets in mine and this was confirmation that I made the right decision (for me). These seats are exactly what I hoped they would be! My BG G80X is supposedly going to be delivered sometime in January.

def makes me miss driving my glc63. lol

Went to the dealership today and they had a M4 with full tartufo with the regular seats unlocked on the floor. I currently have the buckets and I love them but when I sat in those standard seats it made me feel slightly jealous of how comfortable they were!

No. I've never I'm once had anything about that hump cross my mind while driving spiritedly or casually.

January? Are you still waiting for an allocation?

Do you use your M car as a daily driver?

Thought the seats were an absolute no-brainer at first. They look as good as it gets.

Having spent a day in them...they are extremely comfortable. However, I'm fit and not the shape of an average American, so most anything is comfortable for me quite frankly. I've also never had back problems, which is another rarity amongst most Americans.

The deal-breaker is ingress and egress. With the thigh bolsters as high and rigid as they are, getting out requires the same effort as it does with many actual racing seats. That's a no go for a car used as a daily beater.

Am I correct in assuming that people actually buy the carbon fiber bucket seats (or any seat) based on how they look, instead of how they feel?
Now that is classic!
