BP 98 or Shell 98 only, for every single performance car I’ve ever owned.

Just something to consider re fuel, it may be a case that all companies run a higher standard nowadays.

My S58 runs a BM3 OTS "93"tune, so makes around 100 more hp than stock. I assume this is achieved thanks to 4-5psi more boost - which means fuel quality is far more crucial.

Regardless of whether I used BP Ultimate or 98 from United, I have never had any issues with detonation with the higher boost.

Add in just 4-5L of e85 on a full tank of 98 and you will feel a noticeable difference in smoothness and refinement. The OTS 93 Tune are sometimes tuned a little too aggressive for our aussie fuels. I experienced the same on my F80 on a BM3 stage 1 93 OTS tune. Once I get my G80, I will be running jb4 on map 5 using e85/98 blend from United

Great minds think alike!
The 5-10% E85 is a regular trick I use, however my original post was more to indicate stock G80’s will have no issue on any Aussie 98.

I mainly use BP Ultimate or V-Power but is it just marketing and better advertising? Is there any proof they are any better than Amplify 98 or others?

Would love to see some independent tests
