The G80 M3 is like a child to me, like all M3s. Doesn't matter how beautiful or ugly others may think it is, I'm gonna love the **** out of it.

Can NOT wait to own this beast.

Love the color and the rims. Very nice concavity on the rims. While I really liked the center quad exhaust in the M3 launch video with that red/black M3, I don't really like it that much here. In the video, the entire back end was black and that made the overall look very aggressive and cohesive. On this one, there's too much contrast btw the carbon bits and red parts of the car. I think the rear bumper carbon side blades look very odd in this picture. There's this super thick middle portion w/ the quad exhaust dropping down even further, then the thinner carbon/black side blades. It accentuates the feeling like the center exhaust is hanging too low. On an all black car, this wouldn't be as noticeable. I was pretty excited about getting this center quad exhaust... but now, probably won't do it after seeing this picture. Also, any car that has a raised rear wing that is not a 911 or some exotic, just doesn't match. I think this is true even on the F82 M4 GTS and definitely the case here too.

Isn't that the same car as the press launch, as in featured in all the videos, but with the kitsch black decals removed?

Oh gosh, where to begin?

Uhh those canards are ridiculous because they look so small.

My bicycle has bigger brake calipers.

The brake disc looks like someone ordered the wrong part from Rockauto.

The diffuser looks like it has bad fitment.

The exhaust tips remind me of an IS-F running to the bathroom.

Why is one wheel black?

No bueno. TR reminds me of Melbourne Red, but a bit more orange. I'd rather have a real red like Melbourne Red or something more orange like Sakhir Orange or Sunset Orange.

The M Performance parts are terrible. Would have rather seen something like CF fenders with upper vents a la Porsche GT3 RS.

I don't even know what to say about the rear brake caliper...I guess I'd like to know more about the engineering behind this design. If all the weight is transferred to the front of the car during braking, then do larger rear calipers really have a purpose anyway? How do these floating rear calipers hold up under serious track use? I can't imagine BMW would really use them on a M car if they didn't get the job done...

I'm ready for LCI...big time.

It is stunning ... But not in the good sense of the word ... You look at it and you freeze, your mind tries to understand what's going on with the look and eventually fall into despair when you reach the rear brake... Denial comes when you see the back of it and then you just walk away.

Only positives are the color and wheel design, everything else is a disaster. Noticed BMW trying really hard to compensate with the nice colors and for some it's working I guess.

The biggest problem is that m perf rear defuser... with that slope angle is it even at all functional?

Looks like it's just for aesthetics?

The fake vents in the hood of the G8x are ridiculous. What were they thinking? Why didn't BMW add real vents?

BMW is excited to find one of the few persons who is going to lease/purchase the G8x. I would consider it in frozen black but to be honest the taxes we have to pay in Belgium are killing the market. BMW is barely selling real M-cars in Belgium because of the absurdly high taxes.

Better yes...but the bar couldn't be lower. The stock diffuser still looks off...

I really hope they turnaround the design with the LCI.

The brake calipers and rotors definitely are smaller than they should be. On this particular car, it also has 21" rear rims which further accentuates how small the rear brakes look. If it was on the stock 20" rear rims, it would be slightly better... but would still look way too small... but not as ridiculously small as on this car.

With respect to black wheels, I assume it has two black rims on the passenger side of the car and two gold rims on the driver side. This is so people can get a feel for what both rim colors look like. As you can never see more than 1 side of the car at a time, it's not a big deal. in fact, when I recently bought my aftermarket rims/tires I considered getting 2 different colors for the right and left sides of the car.

Where are the hideous SEMA stickers?

Wow that fake carbon air vent looks great, give me a break. If it has no need to be there take it off BMW, Or actually make the damn thing functional!

Pretty much how I feel too. Thought it would grow on me but I actually keep noticing bad design decisions more and more. Latest example: this quad exhaust.
